Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Is there any plastic shielding that is suppose to cover what looks to be the various tubing running from the front to back along each side of the car?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I need an exploded diagram of the underside of a 996. Specifically I am looking for what plastic shields should be there. Can anyone post one, direct me towards one, or email me one? Thanks.

Thanks Tool Pants, very helpful. However, I have a question. Is there any plastic shielding that is suppose to cover what looks to be the various tubing running from the front to back along each side of the car? (I assume they are coolant, brake lines etc.). I ask because on my 993 these lines were covered with shields. I was under the car investigating what I now know to be part #7 (thanks to the diagram) when I noticed these lines were exposed.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
