Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I run the V1 because I am so used to understanding the situational radar.
Leading evidence: 'Run v1' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Suggestion
I was reading an account of the winning run recently, and the driver(s) had a police scanner also, which helped them evade at least one state policeman.

Suggestion
I think a V1, CB, GPS, and a high quality police scanner would be the necessities for something like a Cannonball Run type of drive.
Use vibration stabilized binoculars (day) and night vision binocs (night)

I would add a co-pilot who would use vibration stabilized binoculars (day) and night vision binocs (night)

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ok guys, I would like to hear some good and off the wall ideas on this. If money was no object what would be the ultimate defense set up for Radar, Laser, VASCAR, and any other speed enforcement methods?
I am thinking of everything from scanners, to CBs, to laser shifters etc.
Here is an extreme photo example:
I think a V1, CB, GPS, and a high quality police scanner would be the necessities for something like a Cannonball Run type of drive.
I've driven many times across country, and was thinking about this very thing on my last trip. Truckers know where the speed traps are and relay the info to other truckers, so you should get a good CB. I was reading an account of the winning run recently, and the driver(s) had a police scanner also, which helped them evade at least one state policeman.
a shop here in Seattle installs detector with front and rear probes. The install also comes with a Laser jammer. Works great but $2500. It is a stealthy install.
I run the V1 because I am so used to understanding the situational radar. When I bought my pcar italready had a K40 front and rear Laser Diffuser installed. It is an incredible unit and had saved my azz many times. They both do act very different and it is a bit to get used to. If money was not an issue, I would add a scanner to the car and call it done.
Van- I expected that type of response from Riad
Ray S & ElTorrente - I am actually reading the book "The Driver" by Alex Roy who is the one that broke the record. Interesting book. I am trying to figure out all the electronic aids/countermeasures he had in his car during the attempt.
JimB- You are preaching to the choir
I usually stay within 10mph of the limit. No desire to put others at risk.
If money were no object I would hire a retired police captain to follow me 24/7. He should also have a dead hooker, cocaine and an unmarked .38 for those really annoying cops that can't be persuaded otherwise and perhaps need something "planted" on them.
Glad this thread was started. I'm looking for an
effective
Speed Camera jammer/diffuser. Does anyone have any experience with such a device. Your collective guidance is appreciated.
Pundit, yes, that is real. I have flown it over Fenway and Gillete a few times. Way more fun than D.E.!
Sorry Dell......
If your answer to police speed tactics is the V1, you are only "detecting", which is NOT defense!
I saw one just like it flying over Boston yesterday - or maybe it was Saturday. Saturday, I guess, because the weather was better. It made a couple passes over the Back Bay and Charles River.
