Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check inbox' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check inbox' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I am changing the amber lights on the C4S, though, rest assured

I know you can use a central jacking point in the rear, but there doesn't seem to be anything on the front.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Let's see your 996 in your garage.
I bet we all have some good bits to talk about .......e.g., there's a real cool bottle of gunk on my garage floor
So here's a pic of your average Porschephile's garage.
As you can see I keep mine neat and tidy
Where's Wally?
Oh great now I have to see Andy's garage in Atlanta again....
That's a nice conraption you have for your hard top, but how do you get in and out of the car without banging the door on the brick wall?
rost12,
Thanks for posting that. Sheesh that's the cleanest, sparsest looking garage I ever did see. Are you sure that's not the dealers storefront?
BTW: your Beemer looks gorgious. Only thing I would change is the
amber sidelights
Thanks, Scouser
We just recently had the cabinets and the flooring done, need to paint the walls now and get some Porsche poster/flag to complete the decorations
And one way to combat amber front lights is to shoot in b&w, heh. I am changing the amber lights on the C4S, though, rest assured
What does the C2S badge represent Berny? Was there a C2S? Just curious since i have a MY00 C2 CAB as well and would like to add the 2 to the rear decklid.

As far as I can tell it is RoW only and only for the millenium 2000 edition cars. There were MY00 cars but there were also millenium 2000 cars.
Your log book should say its a C2S if it is.
Strangely it lacks many of the "S" bits such as red calipers.
But it does come with 030, stiffened chasis, and some other sporty bits.
man...
thats not a garage, thats a prison... you really gotta clean that up
heres mine, not a 996, but hey, whos counting, plus, shes rarely in there, no garage queen here.
If you look closely, not that you'd want to, at my garage you'll see the same sign hanging on the stairs next to the Porsche crest.... it's funny cause it's true.
Orient:
How did you get the car on all four jackstands? I know you can use a central jacking point in the rear, but there doesn't seem to be anything on the front.
Hey Moogle, you gota understand something. My garage was built in 1815 so it tends to look a bit shody. But that's the celanest it has ever been. You should have seen it last week!
Hmmm....1815....
I wonder if the owner was overseas burning down white houses at the time
First raise the car using the rear lift point next to the rear wheel. Lift up the car high enough to get the jack stand under the front lift point. Next do the same for the other side.
Next lift the car from the center of the engine case behind the sump cover, and put the remaining 2 stands on the rear lift points.
Oh no not Andy!....
I told you Andy I get virtigo looking into your garage.
I guess you'd notice if you had an RMS leak eh?
You and Kevin M make me sick. I hate you both
Scouser I just checked out your car.
Are "Air conditioning, Climate control, Automatic Breaking System, and Air bags" RoW factory options?
Also where did you get the mount for your iPod, that looks great.
Andy that garage is just plain SiCk
Wow! Being new here I've never seen Andy's garage. I'm currently getting underway with building a new home and I have some new great ideas from both Andy's and Kevin's Garages. Very impressive! My son and I have been dreaming of a garage/shop with the chequered floor.
Andy that's okay, I never get tired of seeing it
I'm going to do something very similar on the floor... just finishing the basement now, and after that project is complete I'm on the garage!!
Rob
Hey Andy,
What kind of tiles are those? I need to do something in my garage because the concrete gets very dangerous when wet and since we are in Chicago, that means salt, slush, snow and other wet stuff on the ground. Does it get slick when wet? How about the maintanence and cleanup.
Thanks
Bobby
Thanks guys!! My next project is floor tiles.. I've added large floursent lights and a aluminum tool chest since those pics.. The aluminum signs came from a guy on ebay.
Hey Kirby:
You gotta turn down the resolution of your marvelous photos. they take forever to load, even with broadband! Try running them thru the "save for web" function of PS and make their size no bigger than 800x800.
The tiles are Composite Vinyl Tiles (CVT), which can be purchased at any Home Improvement or Flooring store. The Manufacturer is Azrock VCT VS-300 (white) and VS-304 (black) and they are solid in color. The floor is first covered in glue (mastic) and the tiles are simply put down after the glue sets up. Very easy to do.
The tiles will hold up to water so you can drive on them any time. I put on several coats of floor wax to keep them clean. Some tire compounds can stain the tiles so I put a piece of clear plastic under each tire (roll the car onto them) if I dont plan on driving the car for a while. If they do stain, I just strip the wax and put down another coat. The tiles have been down for about five years with no problems. They will not crack if tools are dropped but may dent if a heavy concentrated weight is placed on them. For example a floor jack if lifting a car. I usually put plywood under the jack to prevent this from happening.
Also, They can be slippery when wet.
Kirby:
It loaded much faster. The save for web function will take a JPEG and reduce its size by as much as 60% with no resolution loss. Now all you have to do is make the photo smaller. The way i do it is 1st make the image 800x600 (Image ->Image size) , then save for web.
See how much faster it loads:
And you can see the whole thing without having to scroll left and right!
not such great pics since they're more of the car than the garage, but you get the idea.
i live in a condo and the entire basement is a garage. i'm selling it in the next month or so and looking to get my own garage!
Always love seeing that Speedster Don.
Sub Zero, I didn't even know Viking made refrigerators. I'm not crazy about the Viking stove, it looks nice though. We had a Five Star in our old place and I liked that a lot more, much better simmer. I'll wait thirty seconds more to boil water if I can do a braised lamb shank w/out have to stack the burner grates.
I hear ya, we had sub zero in our old house and I really liked it. Our new place we did Jenn-Air for the stove and fridge - fridge is ok at best but the jenn-air stove works very well. I always liked the red ***** on the five star
