I see your new ride is an x50, I've been thinking the same thing for the past year................ I like my car, but I like making it faster and I'm feeling like it's smarter money to just go x50 and start there. There are so many things to do to that car, I think I'd really like the tinkering part. However, it's all whee drive, which I've had the c4 and I'm not a big fan, but with so much power maybe it'd be different..........................
I assume you are very happy with your swap, Do you have any regrets other than cost?
I'd like a red one with a power kit, around 500 hp, lowered, maybe some evo panels, black interior with a touch of CF or matching red, not too much. And some big bad wheels!
I'd be looking for a deal on a TT x50 like mentioned, one with a lot of the parts already in place, lowered etc. I've seen a few on ebay that seem to bring no more than stock cars. Maybe they've become to niche and the average buyers not looking for a modded high powered tt?? Don't know but it seems like I could get a great deal.
Dallas do it no regrets what so ever! I recommed that you run down to your dealer and test drive one... only if you are serious because you will be hooked after the ride. All of my C2's have been standard interior not full leather. The full leather on the Turbo makes the car so much nicer inside. I actually like the AWD the car just feels solid. I do not plan on any crazy engine mods anytime soon. I will be doing an ECU flash though the car should be up over 500HP. I love the X50 exhaust the sound is just perfect if I do anything to it I will be doing the exhaust baffle mod. I love the sound so I do not want anything louder. X73 suspension will be one of my first major mods.
All I can say is if you can afford one you won't regret it. The prices on these cars are so cheap, I paid 1/2 of the original sticker for my 03' X50.
That's what I'm thinking too, they just seem like great deals! I really like white and wanted it for my aero but couldn't find. I wonder how it would look on a TT? It seems simple to get 500-550 hp out of these cars. I'd leave the cats, not sure about the mufflers............... I'm not looking for plush so lowered and full leather is not desired. White would look really cool with a white tunnel and white seatbacks. I'm drooling as I type.!@#%^
