Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

The plastic insulator on the radio for the alarm is in a different location, so most people disconnect the wire to the alarm contact and cover it with tape you you do not get a beep when setting the alarm.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 99 has a CR-210. I'm thinking of upgrading to the CR-220 or CDR-220. Anybody have any suggestions about doing/not doing this? I plan on hooking up the Phatbox to it. How tough is it to replace the CR-210 with a CR-220 or CDR-220? Anyone have a CR-220 kicking around they want to sell me?

POST 2Original post

Others have swaped a 220 in place of a 210. The 210 slides into a metal bracket. This bracket is removed and the 220 slides in without a bracket. The plastic insulator on the radio for the alarm is in a different location, so most people disconnect the wire to the alarm contact and cover it with tape you you do not get a beep when setting the alarm.

POST 3Original post

Does anyone know if a different wiring harness is needed to go from CDR-210 to CDR-220? I also have a 210 and was thinking of upgrading. Thanks! Sean

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's basically the same harness. I did nothing but plug the 220 in where the 210 use to be and everything works fine.

POST 6Original post

I have a CDR 220 that I replaced with an Alpine head unit. PM me with a fair price.
