Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Several people we met there recommended Amelia for its more laid back atmosphere.

Suggestion
However, I would not necessarily expect to see 50 911's representing each year, since the founder (Bill Warner) has in the past 17 years of his show set a production cut-off date of 1974 for the cars he invites (and you cannot "request" to enter.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is anyone planning on going? My son and I will be there Friday evening through Sunday.
We'll be at the RM auction on Saturday and the main event on Sunday. Going to miss the Gooding & Co auction on Friday with all the p cars as we arrive too late.
We're leaving at 4am to drive down. Driving the e500 because we packed too much **** to take the Carrera. Went to Pebble Beach Autoweek last year and had an absolute blast. Several people we met there recommended Amelia for its more laid back atmosphere. I'm too excited to sleep, like a kid leaving for Disney.
I'm going to the Goodings Auction on Friday & to the Concourse on Sunday. Would like to go to the RM Auction, but three days is a bit more than I can get away for. I've been to the last seven AI Concourses & there's a reason its rated as the #2 concourse in the world behind Pebble Beach. You will be hooked!
To fill in your Saturday,
On Saturday, March 10, from 10am to 4pm is the Concorso Atlantico. It is their inaugural event, trying to expand the weekend in the the same way that Pebble Beach is now a multitude of events. Concorso Atlantico will feature Italian cars only - Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Maserati's, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Fiat, and several others. Whereas the Amelia limits entries to cars older than 1974 only, the Concorso has no restriction on the model year. Yes that means there could be new Fiats and Ferrari's alike.
The Concorso Atlantico will be located at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort golf couse, just a couple miles south of the Ritz Carlton.
The Concorso is FREE this year for spectators. There is a $5 parking fee, but spectators will park on the driving range right next to the 10th Hole where the show cars will be. No shuttle bus needed. And easy access to your car.
If you want to enter your Italian car, the entry fee is $150.

We are leaving this morning to drive down. We will check out Gooding tomorrow along with the Ferrari vs. Daytona seminar. Does anyone want to try and get together?
Down South and I managed to hook up at the Concorso Atlantico. Nice Rennlist Family moment!
If you went to the to Concorso on Saturday, I was the guy taking your $5 and directing you to the parking.
Since this is a Porsche 996 Forum, I'm not going to post any pictures of Ferrari's, Maserati's, Lancia's, Fiat Abarths, or Alfa Romeo's. But here is a link to the final results of the Gooding Auction on Friday,

and a few pictures of a '73 Carrera RS (clone?) found languishing in the general parking lot, under the trees, on the windy salty ocean front at the Omni Hotel on Saturday evening.
Great to meet you, Mark!
Always good to be able to put a face with a name (or avatar!).
I enjoyed your event and looking forward to next year.
I took a TON of pictures and will try to get some posted in the next day or two.
Thanks, Ivygreen for posting those pictures! I had to go to Canada last week(still here!) and didn't get a chance to post before I left.
It was my first trip to AI and it was incredible!
We should really try to get a group together for next year. I hear Thundertub is also planning a big deal that same weekend.
It was my first trip also, but we've already made our reservations to return next year. It was a great time!
In addition to Porsches, I'm a Shelby freak, so the display of Cobras and the seminar on the Cobra/Ferrari Wars was just unreal.
I would definitely be up to meet up with some Rennlisters.
Next year, Amelia Island (the Sunday show) is featuring the 50th Anniversary of the 911. However, I would not necessarily expect to see 50 911's representing each year, since the founder (Bill Warner) has in the past 17 years of his show set a production cut-off date of 1974 for the cars he invites (and you cannot "request" to enter. He knows who he wants and it is by written invitation only).
Exceptions to that have been the race cars of the of the Honorees, and special cars. For example, I would expect to see the 959 originally owned by Helmut Bott, with a pre-production protoype VIN, that was given to Bob Snodgrass of Brumos Porsche fame. The car currently resides in the close-by Brumos Collection (not open to the general public - but available to PCA groups by request and reservation). They will probably trot out a BUNCH of the Brumos cars for next year.
Also, Concorso Atlantico (the Saturday show, up the street at the Omni Resort) had a very successful inaugural event this year, has HUGE plans for next year (March 9th), and features both the oldies and the newbies on the field. This year we had over 30 Ferrari's from 1954 to 2012 just in that class. Plus Fiat is now involved (which also means the coming Alfa Romeo). Although the Concorso is primarily for Italian cars and designers, there also tends to be special parking right on the judging field (though not judged) for Porsches... hint hint.
Also, the RM auction is located at the Ritz Carlton with the Amelia Island events, and the Gooding auction is located at the Omni Resort with the Concorso Atlantico events. Gooding does its auction on Friday. RM does it auction on Saturday.
Can't get to the West Coast for Pebble Beach or Monterey Historics? Come to Florida the second weekend in March every year. You will be dazzled. Come the first weekend in March and you can catch both major events, plus a week later is the start of Bike Week in Daytona, the NHRA Gatornationals in just over in Gainesville, and then the Sebring 12 hours. Need more. Heck it is FLORIDA! Let your imagination run wild. Beats snow and slush and bare naked trees. Jacksonville Beach was packed with Bikini clad chics this week. And Spring Break begins
next
week.
