Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'match' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'match' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check these off the mod list' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

And my workbench is filled with stuff for the interior: mostly audio (four speakers, 2 subwoofers and the iPorsche adapter), and a shelf to replace the useless cd holder.

I got the parts from betterbodiesmotorsports.com here in San Diego (actually San Ysidro) and Horizon Auto Body (in El Cajon) did the installation (Ruben and his son Paolo over there are craftsmen - if you have another daily driver and can give your car up for awhile, I highly recommend him).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Wow - nearly two months in the shop, but the first MAJOR mod has been completed: front and rear turbo-look bumper covers and side rocker panels. As a bonus, the bumperettes were painted to match. While she was in surgery I did the amberectomy and installed silverized bulbs in the smoke side markers and turn signals...
Here are some hastily taken shots:

Herbie no longer (the comment that started the whole thing...)

Turbo-look bumper and side rockers, note the painted bumperettes.

Side rockers came out much better than I expected.

The look I've been waiting for...
This completes most of the exterior mods. Looking to add some spacers and a smoke center brake light (to match the side markers). And my workbench is filled with stuff for the interior: mostly audio (four speakers, 2 subwoofers and the iPorsche adapter), and a shelf to replace the useless cd holder. I plan on painting the center console and horseshoe to match the exterior, add add aluminum gauge rings.
I need Tim to make a cameo appearance to check these off the mod list...

WOW! What kind of bumper is that on the front?? It looks awesome. Stock Porsches look like happy little kids from the front, all smiling & what not. This looks like Darth Vader if he decided to update his look by going Artic Silver instead of black, hahaha. I love it. The center console is really going to finish it off nicely. All it needs is a more agressive stance. Are you planning on lowering it &/or upgrading the wheels?
Thanks guys!
Raphael - Yes, I'm really happy with the result. I know that there are some folks out there that don't care for that look, but I wanted that from the beginning. Nope, other than spacers, no further plans. It's pretty low already and every driveway on my route gives me the *******...
Maci - yes, and I've been researching sources. It's 3rd party, so I don't think just any grill insert will work, but I do have diamond screen in there right now just to protect the radiators behind there. If you have source, I'd be happy to hear. BTW, pictures of your ride were part of the inspiration... but I don't think I could go as far as installing the rear fenders panels like you did (although Armando at Better Bodies has a product).
TGT - thanks. It was the match to the front bumper. I almost cheaped-out and got these little clip on aprons, but Ruben talked me out of it and I'm glad he did... he also convinced me to paint the bumperettes, which was another $250 - not to paint it, but to fabricate a new set of brackets that would snug up the bumperettes against the new bumper cover.
Anyway, thanks everyone for the kind words and support!
Rudy
Wow, looks great. I think the front bumper has a really aggressive look to it. Painted bumperettes are nice too, that's one thing that is on my list. (My SS exhaust tips should be on within the next month!!)
OMG - this came out great!
I would not have seen it, thanks for telling me about it.
WOW you have got to be happy with the way it came out. I went back to your 1st post and saw the "before"..... Holy crud, nicely done! I don't know if everyone will love it, but as long as you do that's what counts. (And I do too!) It doesn't even look like the same car, looks tough and ready for driving.
Do you have stock exhaust or ?
Man, this came out great, nice job Rudy!
Ed and Tim,
Thanks! I pretty much blew this year's mod budget on this one, so anything major is out for awhile... the interior is next, the big one being iPod connectivity and upgrading the speakers, but there are a couple of DIYs such as painting the center console and CF wrapping a few things. Not to say I won't try to sneak something past the wife unit... but she's learning to do the math, so it gets harder.
Anyway, thanks for the comments!
Rudy
