Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After looking looking looking -- did I say I was looking. I bought a 01 TT tip. I went and drove a 6speed TT-- the tip is better for me -- no question. Car is perfect -- They did a full service as well - this for the Porsche Certified Warr. They are having the two paint chips in the front wheels fixed before delivery -- I could find nothing else that even looked as if the car had been used. Now the fluids; What is the coolant change interval -- every german car including the my current one is 3 years -- what is it for this car. Also what about the trans fluid -- car has less than 3k, so I am not thinking that this is any problem. They changed the brake fluid. Thanks all for the help -- I will become a member next week after delivery -- that is if I ever get out of the car! TAG

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No help on this one -- I thought that this would be easy -- I would like to know all is well before I take delivery -- Thanks

POST 3Original post

Porsche says the coolant is "Lifetime". A few mechanics I know still suggest changing at 60,000 miles. This is not as simple as it sounds since it is very easy to trap air in the system. Porsche now recommends that coolant replacement (after repairs etc.) be done by pulling a vacuum on the system and drawing the new coolant in. Some shops have these tools and some don't. Porsche recently (January) changed the recommended interval from 60,000 to 90,000 miles.
