Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

My dealer replaced the air box on my '04 C2 because my VIN fell within a particular range of VIN #'s that potentially had an air leak, which would allow non filtered air into the engine.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am unclear what the procedure is for a TSB. Are they automatically performed at the dealer (like a recall) or are they simply guidlines for known problems should owners complain. I have a cpo car and would love to have everything done to it before the warranty expires. All my dealer seems to check are "open" campains. I assume this is different, too. Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

My dealer replaced the air box on my '04 C2 because my VIN fell within a particular range of VIN #'s that potentially had an air leak, which would allow non filtered air into the engine. My new Carbon Fiber air box is SWEET looking! BTW - just kidding about the "Carbon Fiber" part! hee hee

POST 3Original post

tsbs are only consalted for customer complaints it appys to no vins just a year range

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So wouldn't it be wise to find all the tsbs for my year and complain about them so that improved parts are installed before I am out of warranty?

POST 5Original post

dealer wont replace parts for complaints they cant dupluicate

POST 6Original post

Tim, are you insane? You can't just say things like that around here. I almost jumped off my seat, picked up the phone, and dialed Sunset to order one (before barely noticing the last line of your post).

POST 7Original post

Hee hee! Sorry, Edward, I just couldn't resist the temptation to have a little fun with the group!
