Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

guys help here i have this little noise coming from under the car.. sound like when your room door isnt grease properly .. its a little INNNNNKsound...... anyone with experice with that... the car has about 43K KM on it right now.... i am hoping its the same thing i change at 36K for the back .. its bascially a skinny tube looking metel with 2 round hole at each end... the front suspension part looks longer then the back ... but same design... have no clue what that thing call.... bascially it looks like a chop stick with 2 rings on each end... made in metal anyone can offer some help would be great thanks

POST 2Original post

it is hard to tell by your description but I do have to say I have been laughing to myself about the INN N N N K and the chopstick with two holes in it, that is a hilarious description. Maybe it is the support for your rear bumper (up inside the fenderwell, kinda looks chopstickish I guess), mine made a squeak when it was lose from the body shop. I am clueless though by the description, a pic would be nice for the "chopstick"

POST 3Original post

Sounds like control arms from the noise and the detailed description

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

guys i think what i am refering to is the sway bar end link.. just found out the name also is this part suppose to have some movement when u try to twist it around... cuz right now my rear has some movement but nothing major.. my front feel alot loser and u can twist it alot more.. is this normal? anyone ever had to change this part? does it creat noise? if its actually control arm like everyone say ... how much will it cost?

POST 6Original post

sway bar knocks over bumps conrol arm sounds like an old hinge contol arms are about 480$ a side + labor

POST 7Original post

Ah yes, the chopstick sounds like the sway bar link, that is probably it. Spray some kind of rubber compatible lube on it and see if it stops squeaking. If it stops, they may need replacing but dont know unless someone looks at it to ensure needing replacement..

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so its either the sway bar end link or the control arm both make the noise i assume? lets hope its the end link.. since its much cheaper hahahah
