Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, after some miscommunication with some recent service. This is the loaner I got. Damn them I what a new one now. These guys sure know how to make things right with me I have found a new home to spend my money... I mean my wifes money

POST 2Original post

That's quite a score!! I usually get a Boxster or a v6 Cayenne.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tell me about it. I had to ask them where the hell the roof went

POST 5Original post

I'll take the boxster, I normally get a focus or kia...

POST 6Original post

I got the shaft! They always fix my car on the spot

POST 7Original post

Man, you guys are lucky - I get whatever their in-house Hertz office has. I've "lucked out" with a Mustang once, but otherwise it's been Tauruses and a Five Hundred

POST 8Original post

I got a Kia Sedona when I had my SSK installled at Brandywine. It even had a soccer ball decal on the rear decklid. I drove out with a bag over my head.

POST 10Original post

Just took my car in for service and I had my choice of Boxster, Cayenne S, or Cayman. Took the brand new Cayenne S and I must say it was pretty nice.

POST 11Original post

I got a Buick Lucerne. But that was a great humbling experience... I really started realizing how lucky I am to be driving a Porsche 911 everyday.

POST 12Original post

I've had the pathetic V6 Cayenne, a couple new Boxsters and a new Cayman. They had a Cayman S in the fleet, but it was out. My dealer mentioned they are trying to put some variety in the fleet and could start usign 911's and Cayenne S'.

POST 13Original post

Toyota twice, no charge at a dealer I did not buy the car from. No complaints.

POST 14Original post

Chevy Trailblazer AND the $40 bill for it! Never going back to that dealer for warranty or service work.

POST 15Original post

07 AUDI A6, not bad. The brake pedal was a hair trigger and I looked like an idiot braking before getting out into the street. The wife liked the car. Lots of goodies and lighting where you never expected it. Like some laser show at the planetarium when you got out at night.

POST 16Original post

'06 Mercedes Benz C230 by Enterprise. They used to provide Boxsters until the dealership contracted with the rent-a-car company.

POST 17Original post

I got the V6 Cayenne, I fookin' hated it...........for two and a half weeks. HATED IT!

POST 19Original post

The Porsche dealers have been taking better care of you guys than my BMW dealership when I took in my wife's car - we wound up with a purple PT Cruiser. I parked it in front of the neighbors, had my wife drive my SUV, and I used the P-Car as a daily driver for over a week.

POST 20Original post

I love the " I parked it in front of the neighbors " part!

POST 21Original post

A shuttle ride to the nearest Metro Train Station.

POST 22Original post

Here in Germany I was escorted to the parking lot where my wife picked up in another car, but I did receive a very nice Tchuss!

POST 23Original post

Today I have a Subaru Outback, which is an improvement in last week's Ford Five Hundred, or the previous visit's Taurus.

POST 24Original post

I've got an '06 Boxster (tip) today. My 996 is in getting PSE and Aerokit II sideskirts installed.

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Now if we could get Porsche dealers to give us comparable cars more often... I have been with Lexus for over 10 years and I have never had anything less than another Lexus for a loaner. For that reason alone I will always have a Lexus at home. The Germans to learn a thing or two from the Japanese. It call Lean

POST 26Original post

Haven't had to service my car yet (only had it 2 months) but my when I take my S4 to the Audi dealer for service, I usually get an A4, last time I got an 02 A6 with 60k miles on it. They used to use Enterprise and I would get a Jetta or a Kia, however once I got a brand new Infiniti M45 (not bad).

POST 27Original post

I used to always get a Boxster before the dealer contracted with Enterprise. Now I get to choose between a Cadillac for free, or an Infiniti for $10.

POST 28Original post

Audi's, I always get Audi's. a4, a6, just got an a3 2.0t--not bad!

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's shocking that you can spend all that money on a car and get a kia for a rental. There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way different Porsche dealers give loaners

POST 30Original post

V6 Cayanne... not bad.. would like to have a Boxter or soo, but Cayanne is just fine...

POST 31Original post

Stupid Circle Imports in the LBC gave me a gratuitous, "can we give you a ride somewhere?" but they have no loaners and no on-site rentals. Rediculous. I once had a Polo rental when in Germany - I am 6'2, my co-worker was 6'4" and my other co-worker was 5'11". The guys in the smoking car said we looked like we were getting out of a clown car. Pretty small little thing - I dunno what would be comparabe here in the States - maybe the Ford Fiesta?

POST 32Original post

I got a Cayenne and I agree with Gretch...I would never buy one of those.

POST 33Original post

A Nissan Murano with filthy windows. I showed up 4 hours late for my appointment and I guess that was appropriate punishment. I almost left it there and called a friend to come and get me.

POST 34Original post

When I took my 996 for my 30K service at Rector they usually contract with a 3rd party rental but you can request an Audi rental. I had a 2006 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro for a rental for 4 days. That car has the coolest GPS/on board computer screen that just pops out of the dash of the car. Lots of gadgets. Like a light show at night. I can even jack up the and lower the car like it has hydralics because of the air suspension. Yeah baby. Got a stupid speeding ticket while driving it though. I swear, that car can go 120mph, or 30mph, and I wouldn't be able to tell how fact I was going... Is there any San Francisco Bay Area dealerships that loan out P-car loaners?
