Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have used Custom Alignment in Mountain View for several cars - though not Porsche.

I've used Devek Inc, a little up on 101 in Redwood City.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's time to replace the rears on my C4s and the fronts are in need of balancing. Does anyone know of a good tire shop that won't scratch my rims in the San Jose area? I used to go to America's Tire shop on Brokaw for my other cars, but they seem to be inconsistent. Thanks in advance!
Take it to Stevens Creek Porsche. They have a road force balancer, and state of the art mounting equipment. I believe that they charge as little as $25 tire.
I have gone to Wheel Techniques just off Trimble in San Jose for the last several years.
They did a much better job than the Acura dealer who scratched my NSX rims.
No Issues with the C4 at all. And cheap too
I've used Devek Inc, a little up on 101 in Redwood City. They have a touchless mounting machine. Does not scratch rims. I got very good service from them. $40 per tire, mount + balance.
Make sure you are going to install mfg approved tires if you go to SC Porsche. I run S03's and SC refused to install them for me, and I bought/ordered my car from them!!
I had to take it to the Goodyear place a block away (and they damaged my rims.
I have used Wheel Tech near the airport for 2 sets of tires. I figured since they also refinish wheels they should know how to get them off and on without scratching them.
Stevens Creek charges $91.50 for each tire if you do not buy the tires from them. They no longer will mount non approved tires. I did not ask what they charge if you buy the tires from them.
I have used Custom Alignment in Mountain View for several cars - though not Porsche. But these guys do Porsches and many high performance/sports vehicles. They're meticulous, attentive to detail, perfomance oriented, and always have done a great job at a great price for me. I highly recommend them.
+1 on CA and they have done my p-car.
In fact, I think they are a recommended tirerack installer - call CA, make appointment for day tires are delivered. You're in/out without much hassle.
+2 on CA.
They did my alignment work... great job on that.
They also pulled a nail out from the front tire and patched... so i guess they installed and re-mounted one tire without scratches to the rims :-)
i used america's tire. although they did not scratch the rim, they did destroy one of my tires and claimed it was cut before. very poor customer experience.
i will try devek or rector. i think rector's price was reasonable compared to other dealers.
Wheel Tech and Custom Alignment are both Tire Rack installers. I used CA for an alignment and 2 flat repairs. Wheel Tech does not do flat repairs.
I did not use CA to install the first set of tires because it would take too long for an appointment, so that is when I started using Wheel Tech.
How much is it to refinish rims?
Any other good places in the area worth considering?
(I have 15" phone dials in perfect condition except they are weathered all to hell, with most of the original finish gone)
