Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have the printed info from the old thread regarding using the AC for accessing info on the car such as Coolant temp, etc.
Leading evidence: 'Use ac' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use ac' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I read that thread about using the ac controls for this and I want to find it again and can't.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have the printed info from the old thread regarding using the AC for accessing info on the car such as Coolant temp, etc. I am trying to figure out how to get it to read in F, NOT C. I am not the fastest at trying to convert in my head from one to the other, so I would prefer to have it done for me!!! I followed the directions which say to hold down the recirc. button then push BOTH the temp. + - buttons. This does not switch them on my car. Anyone know another way to switch to F?
Thanks
you can get all of the info you need at this website.

It says it is for the boxster, but it all should be the same.
Thanks! I know how to do the math conversion, but the instructions say you should be able to switch from C to F on the display. If this isnt possible, I can continue with the manual conversion, but it would just be much easier to see it displayed in F onscreen.
I don't think you can convert to F on the display, regardless of the instructions.
You can work up or down from 100C which is 212F, 1.8 degrees F per degree C. Makes the math a bit easier.
Also, I printed a small conversion chart that to use in the car.
It is interesting to toggle between oil and water temps at various loads/conditions and watch the oil/water separator work.
If you are working from, say, 100C = 212F, then you can quickly calculate that 99C = 210.2F
or 101C = 213.8F
or, 95C = 212F - 5x1.8 = 203F
No need to do the extra calculation.
