We took it for a test drive, when we came back, she stated she would purchase it.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I was at the Porsche Dealer 2 days ago. A good friend had her eyes on a 2002 Speed Yellow Cabriolet, fully optioned.
We took it for a test drive, when we came back, she stated she would purchase it. The salesperson said he would let the manager know.
He came back with tears in his eyes. He told us that the car had been PURCHASED while we were out during the test drive. The deal was finalized.
She had no chance to match or better the offer.
How often does this happen? This was going to be her first Porsche.
She is specific. Speed Yellow, Six Speed, Yellow accents (yellow stitching, seatbelts, and console.)
It is the end of the model year, to wait for the '03 means summer will be over. We have e-mailed just about everyone throughout the U.S.
Any leads from the Board?
rayc,
It is not a cab, but I will make her a heck of deal on my coupe.
Best regards,
Scott

Scott,
Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately, MUST be a Cab. Her heart is set on a Speed Yellow Cab, 6 speed. She has even attended Richard Petty driving school. She knows how to drive.
Also, summer is here in So. Calif., top down motoring is the only way. She has her name on the list for the new Mercedes SL. She may go with that due to the wait for the '03 996.
No worries, just thought I would offer. Your friend should not have much trouble finding a sy cab on the web. I have seen a couple sitting on the lot of the local Houston dealership.
Good luck,
Scott
Check Napleton Porsche in Westmont, IL. As of last week (Weds), they had an '02 SY C2Cab, Yellow Stitching, 18" Carrera Sport wheels, some other goodies- seems to me list was 91K. It's been there for a few weeks. Tel # [phone removed].
Sounds like the car ARC in CDM posted on CFG's board that he just bought, pic's and all. Given that you are both from Orange County, CA, it's got to be the same car.
Pic's he posted are just gorgeous. Your friend will find another rayc.
Brent,
It could possibly be the same car. What is the name of the website it is posted at? I know I was impressed with the car. He must be having a great summer.
I want you and everyone to know, no bad feelings towards anyone. Especially the dealer, salesperson, everyone. They are doing the best they can to help her. The old left hand right hand kind of thing.
I expect to see TWO Speed Yellow 996's on PCH very shortly.

The 996 discussion board specifically. You'll have to scroll down a little at this point.
It's a thread about "I took a 'Yellow Cab' home today". Couple of pics. Sorry, don't know how to link the specific thread.
Brent
A month before I bought mine.
Went to have a look at a c4 coupe. I was willing to pay a deposit right there and purchase subject to PPI. Seller says that a dealer is already on the way with bankers draft and trailer.
Cant really compete with that.
