Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

Congratulations. The car looks sweet. I can see you are a fan of the "spoiler up" look. Black on black looks good -- especially with the aluminum dashes. Enjoy!! Regards.

POST 9Original post

Congrats!!!! Your car looks great!! Just out of curiosity, what made you trade the M5 for the 911? Jim

POST 10Original post

Very nice. Care to share your comparison of the '02 996 C2 to your previous '02 M5? Why the switch?

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I onlyhave 500 miles on my new 911 so comparisons are difficult. I am still breaking her in. The erason I traded was that I am 29 single and not in a hurry to marry. I wanted a flashier car. I do not need the extra room. I can say one thing though, the M5 WAS A MONSTER. I had the Dinan 3.45 limited slip which made it even stronger. When I shifted from 1st to 2nd the car just exploded like being shot out of a slingshot. The torque was very addicting. I will keep you posted once I break the 911 in. Thanks for all the kind words. -LOU

POST 12Original post

Lou, Beautiful car! Congratulations on your purchase and on joining our group. I'm looking soooo forward to joining the driving group as opposed to the waiting group!

The M5 sounds like an amazing auto. Too bad BMW won't make a sleek, sexy looking coupe

Problem is their design chief Chris Bangle has ruined many of the classic BMW designs and I fear he may ruin the next 5 and 6 series. He already ruined the 7 -LOU

[quote]How much should I lower it and which springs should I use.

Lou: You can ask for the Tequipment suspension. if i'm right your car will be lowered 2,5cm (0.984inch). Other wise there are good brands as Bilstein SS09 (what i have) with Eibach springs. (Love cornering!) There's Techart also wich one put in the market a brand new suspension in collaboration with Bilstein. seems to be the top.
