Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've read some threads in the past where people used the brush on paint.
Leading evidence: 'Use brush' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust their size' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I don't know if I can adjust their size, but if you can do something to decrease the size, please do so.

Suggestion
Many people with KrazyKchondriasis experience a cycle of intrusive thoughts followed by compulsive checking of oil condition every 100 miles, which is very similar to the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

While I was rebuilding both front axles, I decided to repaint the calipers. The axle boots were split and the grease inside was bad. The calipers were removed of course.
Because the front axles seem to have a problem with the outer boots splitting, probably due to the added stress of steering. May as well remove the axles and rebuild both ends while your there. Seemed like a good time to repaint the calipers.
KK. I can't wait until you find a new toy to rebuild. I'm going to have to buy your C4S one of these days. And then I'm going to send you pictures of it on the track
btw, those pictures are bigger than my screen. I don't know if I can adjust their size, but if you can do something to decrease the size, please do so.
Calipers look great!
K, can you briefly describe your approach to painting the calipers? I've read some threads in the past where people used the brush on paint. Didn't look as good.
Also, what was you approach to flushing the brakes? Maybe add some insight to this thread?

Thanks in advance. I appreciate you setting the maintenance bar high!!
KrazyKchondriasis is categorized as a somatic amplification disorder—a disorder of "perception and cognition"—that involves a hyper-vigilance of the one's 996 situation and a tendency to react to the initial perceptions in a negative manner that is further debilitating. KrazyKchondriasis manifests in many ways. Some people have numerous intrusive thoughts and physical sensations that push them to check with family, forum members, and mechanics. For example, a person who has a minor cold start up tick may think that they have blown motor. Or sounds produced by moving mechanical parts in the car, such as those made by the engine, might be seen as a sign of a very serious mechanical failure to patients dealing with KrazyKchondriasis.
Other people are so afraid of any reminder of mechanical noises that they will avoid driving their vehicles all together, sometimes to the point of permanently parking their vehicles inside the garage. Yet others live in despair and depression, certain that they have a catastrophic mechanical failure and no mechanic can help them. Some consider the disease as a punishment for buying the water-cooled Porsche.
KrazyKchondriasis is often accompanied by other psychological disorders. Clinical depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, and somatization disorder are the most common accompanying conditions in people with KrazyKchondriasis , as well as a generalized anxiety disorder diagnosis at some point in their life.
Many people with KrazyKchondriasis experience a cycle of intrusive thoughts followed by compulsive checking of oil condition every 100 miles, which is very similar to the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder. However, while people with KrazyKchondriasis are afraid of having a terminal engine failure, patients with OCD worry about getting specs of dust on the car or getting caught driving in the rain. Although some people might have both, these are distinct conditions.
Patients with KrazyKchondriasis often are not aware that depression and anxiety produce their own mechanical failure symptoms, and mistake these symptoms for manifestations of a non-psychological disorder or disease. For example, people with depression often experience changes in appetite and weight fluctuation, fatigue, decreased interest in sex and motivation in life overall. Intense anxiety is associated with rapid heart beat, palpitations, sweating, muscle tension, stomach discomfort, dizziness, and numbness or tingling in certain parts of the body (hands, forehead, etc.).
In some cases, KrazyKchondriasis responds well to selling the Porsche and buying a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic, particularly the newer type with full warranty.
If a person is ill with a medical disease such as diabetes or arthritis, there will often be psychological consequences, such as depression. Some even report being suicidal. Many people with KrazyKchondriasis accompanied by mechanically unexplained symptoms feel they are not understood by their mechanics, and are frustrated by their mechanics’ repeated failure to provide symptom relief.
Yeah frankly I was a bit disappointed in you since you didn't replace the pads and rotors. The new shiny calipers do not match your worn out rotors. At the least, I thought you'd have painted the rotor hats and inside all the rotor holes.
Your transmission came out so nice and clean, what happened here?
I need to recondition my calipers. The clear coat is peeling and they have a few nicks.
I've been thinking about removing them and completely rebuilding them in addition to repainting or powder coating them. KK - yours look good. Nice job.
I used the spray type high heat caliper paint and the engine type high heat clear coat. Removed calipers for cleaning and prep work. Impossible to do a good job without removing them. Doing the calipers is a good time to flush system too.
Pressure or vacuum bleeder works fine. I used the vacuum method. I do not remove the fluid from the master cylinder first before using the vacuum method.
I know some people believe this but its simply not true.
There are a few DIY's but none that I found very good for the C4S. There are some "must have" special tools and parts that make the job so much easier. I will add some specific info later that should help you.
