Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Also came with a hardwired radar detector. I think it's a passport system, but I have to look harder. That helped on the ride home. I'll get the option list tomorrow, it's dark out and I still need to eat.
And, some pics: (sorry my camera battery died and I cant find the charger. once I do ill have more pics. For now, iphone pics have to do)

I love this car! Very happy with my purchase and still amazed at the deal. Everyone who has seen the car has already come over and talked to me about it.
Hoping for many, many enjoyable and trouble free years
Very nice! Ditto on the Bumperplugs (don't forget the door plug once you get the remote function fixed) and clear side markers.
Aluminum Gauge rings would look great on your car.
Congratulations! Great looking car and good story. Not sure if I ever shared one of my cross-country purchase sagas.... this one's a doosie! Went from Miami Beach to Santa Barabara... then planned the drive back... and this was the ultimate road trip car. Sorry, no slight on the pcar, but this thing cruised comfortably at 130mph all day long.... a German Hot Rod Lincoln...

This had a happy ending.... But I sold the bimmer a few years ago.
Thanks everyone!
Yeah I'll have to find the bumperplugs. Where do you guys recommend buying them?
I got the remote fixed too. It was just a dead battery. Grabbed a new one at a random little supermarket. Much easier than rushing into the car each time to race the alarm.
I have to find a pic of a white 911 w the clear sides. I usually hate amber, but usually like it on white. Any other color I dont like ambers. Anyone have a pic w clears?
It ended up being a little under 1800 miles. Did the ride in 2 days bc I got out late on the first, so I lost that day (was supposed to be a 3 day drive). I think we were on the road about 30 hours in total. Prob 5 hours of that was lost to rest stops or gas or something.
Hit the road around 10am Friday from Dallas. Got into Lexington, KY at 2am (1hr lost to time change).
Hit the road around 11am Sat from Lexington and got to Fairfield, CT aruond 4am (had to get a car at westchester airport so that added a bit of time).
I wish I had more time to sight see, but I drove the entire time and never got tired of it. Some of the roads at night were dark and boring. The high beams are insane btw.
Chao - No problem. I ended up scrubbing the grime off until about 8 (just beat nightfall). I actually drove to work today, so if you're around I'll pull off in Norwalk on the way home.
On my way to read this story now. Looks nuts from those pics. Glad it ended well!
Get teh BumperPlugs and Key Plug from Eric at BumperPlugs.com. He is a Rennlist sponsor and a great guy. I met him a few times when I lived in Charlotte, NC.
