I just replaced my pzero asimmetricos with these for my freeway daily driving on my 02 c2 (kept the pirellis on a second set of rims for track days).

Can't say they are any worse or better then the PS2's I also have ran on.

Keep in mind, this comparison is between pirelli's which were used(50% left on front, 10% on rear) and new ecsta spt's.

Grip is good, good value for money - now use Pirelli to keep things quieter longer.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

anyone have good luck with kumho spt ku31? the price is right, but if they really suck i'd like to know. any recommendations would be appreciated. i drive on lots of curvy roads with very little rain. thanks in advance for advice. btw rims are 18". kevin
Tend to go noisy, but they do last long
usual trade of there - noise Vs hardness
When a rear tire failed on my wife's 986, it stayed on the rim and got her 10 miles home in the following condition - can't say fairer than that!
There was a hole in the rear side of the tire big enough to get my hand into!
Grip is good, good value for money - now use Pirelli to keep things quieter longer.
Went through 2 set of these and many track days of keeping up to Gt3's on cups or passing Turbos on streets at my local track.
Can't say they are any worse or better then the PS2's I also have ran on.
I just replaced my pzero asimmetricos with these for my freeway daily driving on my 02 c2 (kept the pirellis on a second set of rims for track days). Only 1k on them so far. SOUND: "saw blades" to "marshmellows". Much quieter. RIDE: a lot smoother with less wandering on imperfect roads. Keep in mind, this comparison is between pirelli's which were used(50% left on front, 10% on rear) and new ecsta spt's. Further, I have not pushed the ecsta's beyond spirited street driving so cannot comment on track type performance. Although, after I finish off the pirelli's, I may try the ecsta's once on the track to compare performance. If the difference is minimal, I may start using them for both track and daily driving. (Would losing a second or two a lap really decrease the level of enjoyment and justify the many hundreds of dollars more?) I would say that 90%+ of the performance, plus more track days, for less than half the price sounds pretty good to me! Imho, for the price, they are worth trying. As far as people complaining about road noise, they cannot be any worse than the pirelli's! At 40 mph, I couldn't hear the engine! Check out the reviews on tirerack.com as well. Very helpful.
