Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I bought my '03 C4 Cab last year with the "old warranty" (the car has 36000 miles on it) The dealer recently replaced one catalytic converter, the RMS, the intermediate seal and replaced the clutch during the RMS service (40 percent left).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I don't know if it was here or Renntech, but I remember reading over the past couple of weeks a post that stated that Porsche had revised the CPO warranty to now have the same coverage as the New Car warranty.
I just can't for the life of me find the thread now, no matter how I search. I think I may have imagined this.
If anyone knows anything about this and can point me to some evidence, I'd like to have my coolant tank done under warranty instead of rolling up my sleeves (I do have a new replacement tank, I just haven't lost any coolant since the day I ordered it so it's on the shelf).
I will try calling my dealer and PCNA sometime soon, but if you have any info please share
Here's a quote from the Porsche Site:
The Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned limited warranty is just like
our new car limited warranty. All you’re responsible for are normal
wear and tear components, such as brake pads or wiper blades and
scheduled maintenance. What’s more, you receive 2 years or 50,000 miles
of coverage (whichever comes first) following the remainder of the
new car limited warranty. Plus, our around-the-clock Porsche Roadside
Assistance in the unlikely event you have trouble on the road.
All in all, you can rest easy knowing that you’re covered.

hmmm. My car is CPO and I had it CPO'd as my new car warranty was expiring and I distinctly remember a sheet of paper that listed all the things that were included under this warranty. The service advisor had to look up my clutch master cylinder due to creaking noise.
Presumably, anything NOT on the list would not be covered.
I read this somewhere i think it was likemystoppie who works for a dealer that confirmed it (not 100% on that).
I have a CPO car and what I'm not sure about is if this applies ONLY to CPO since the announcement or if pre-announcement CPO cars still have the old warranty (which is certainly not the same as the new warranty)
My guess would be that the "revised" (a.k.a. latest) CPO is probably not retroactive to cars that were CPO'd prior to the change. But hey, I did NOT stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I could be wrong.
I bought my '03 in '06 with 40K miles. The CPO at that time was 2yr/100K with the 2yr starting when the original warranty ended. In other words, I had a total of 3 years of coverage.
Currently, my car is at 60K and is waiting for me at the stealership. They just finished replacing the RMS still covered under the CPO. I've also had 2 cats. replaced with the extended CPO. Definitely been worth it in my opinion. I was considering upgrading to a CPO '06 997 but I will have to confirm that it's only covered to 50K miles now. I don't think I'd be interested in those terms.
My experience from Monday is in line with the following - this is straight from the CPO Owners Manual.
Mine is the later, so I have 2 years or ~91K of CPO warranty
Under the old CPO warranty, my 1999 C2 was covered up to 100,000 miles. I had my transmission replaced in December 2007 at 92,000 miles. At that point the car was 8 years old. The old CPO warranty read 2 years from purchase or up to 100,000 miles. When I bought my car it was already 6 years old.
I sold it at 101,000 miles. The risk of major repairs outweighed the pleasure in keeping it. It has been a month now and I am not having second thoughts.
I bought my '03 C4 Cab last year with the "old warranty" (the car has 36000 miles on it) The dealer recently replaced one catalytic converter, the RMS, the intermediate seal and replaced the clutch during the RMS service (40 percent left). I had to pay for the clutch parts only. The total bill would have been in the thoursands. I will continue to use the dealer for service while the car is under the CPO warranty.
Factory warranty 4 years 50k miles
CPO on a car still under factory warranty ads 2 years to the remaining Factory Warranty period and adds 50K miles to the original 50K mile Factory Warranty, for a total of 100K miles.
CPO on a car that is no longer covered by the Factory Warranty = 2 years from date pf purchase and 50K miles from miles that are on the car when it was purchased. So if the car has 35K miles when purchased, it is covered for 2 years or up to the time the odometer turns to 85K miles, whichever comes first.
I asked the dealer the other day about wear spots on my top. He pulled out a document that basically said that soft tops are not covered for almost anything. He did however confirm that the CPO and New Car warranties are treated the same.
Bummer on the top.

Interesting... I have a sqeek in my convertible top and service tech told me today that there as an issue with on eof the convertible motors (not sure what the exact name was... somthing like a 'flap motor'??), nut that it was covered under CPO. He is ordering the motor and will replace it under CPO warranty.
i think it was always the case that CPO covered anything that your service advisor wanted it to cover depending on how good a customer you were and how he wrote it up.....
