Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a fixed rear wing on my 98' 996 and need to short out the three pins in the socket to stop the wing warning light coming on on the dash. I asked this question many moons ago and got a prompt reply but my local garage took the rear spoiler and the connection off but didn't replace the three pin connector in the socket and now I don't know which pins in the socket to be shorted out. I've tried doing a search but cannot find the relevant info. Please helllllp. Cheers

Hi Gert, there's no question that's the easiest way but I think he wants DIY advice here. Tropsove, I would try posting this question on RennTech. I think you will have the best luck. If you find the answer, shoot me a PM because I have a fixed wing I will be installing and would rather mod the harness than buy a new one.
