Thanks, Kevin. Has anyone attempted this? Dealer approximated labor at less than $200....worth it?

Less than $200? Then I would pay the labor. It's not a simple unbolt and replace. Lines have to be disconnected, etc. If I am not mistaken my dealer had to drop the engine a shave to make it easier for them (not necessesary but much easier).

I've had mine out several times. Just follow the instructions from the link above and you'll be done n a couple of hours.

Not technically difficult at all. Hardest part is manuevering the darn thing out. Per the suggestion of a friend, who is a dealer technician, I cut the "ramp" off the new tank before installation. This is used to mount the fuel filter on TT and GT3 and serves no purpose on our cars. Made the installation far easier than the removal. Good Luck, Joe Rothman '99 C2 Coupe with new tank
