Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I must tell you the handle is a bit out of date as I am now running into 35.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Newbie P-car owner 6 weeks ago and new to the Forum 3 weeks ago. Have been learning a lot from all of you guys just reading the various threads. First MOD - Installed B&M SSK 2 weeks ago. LOVE it!
Finally got Pics! I am not sure about the quality or if I attached them correctly but here they are (maybe)!
Thanks for the comments. The ID was a spin off of my Ebay ID which is geta911. I actually found my car on Ebay and called the dealer directly and offered him $3,000 below his "Buy it Now" price. We haggled a little and I pulled the trigger. Obviously I couldn't stay with "geta911" so I swapped it to Gota...
And as Paul Harvey would say "Now you know the rest of the story!"
Thanks, it's been fun so far. How long 'til I get off the Newbie list, so I can have a shot at getting one of your custom SIG's? I have to tell you that some of the magic I have seen you perform in the last couple of weeks helped push me to get the pics on the board. Sweet, & smooth work, really GREAT!
You think I have sucked up enough yet to get moved up in the pecking order?
Seriously, I really meant all of the first paragraph. Great touch!
You are right, my bad! See... I really AM a Newbie! Plus, I wasted all of that "suck-up" time on the wrong guy! When I saw your SIG, I guess I got a little "confused." That sounds better than "stupid" don't you think?
If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?
Riad - I have seen your avitar at least 40 times, and I just now noticed the "red lights" behind your right ear. No wonder you have that LOOK on your face!
Justin - Thanks!... and WOW what a stable of beauties YOU have! If you have 3 P-cars, how many women do you have?
If I have 1 P-car and 1 woman, then you must have... no, say it ain't so!
Thanks for the compliment. I am at 24.75" in the rear, it is pretty low for the street. I have to be careful with driveways and speedbumps, lots of weird looks from the people diving behind me when I manuever 45 deg to take a entrance or road obstacle. I am as low as the ricers; but when I stab the loud pedal, its LOUD and sounds like a REAL car. LOL.
Great Color. Perfect in fact.
Your handle is good but I really like "gofor28off" even better. Somebody else around here must understand tne signifigance of that.
To be quite honest, I don't understand the significance of "gofor28off". Since you said "Somebody
else
around here must understand tne signifigance," can I assume you understand it? If so, what am I missing?
Thx!
It is a water skiing term. When you are skiing a course the longest line length is 75 feet. As you improve the line is shortened and is referred to so many feet off. The incremental rope lengths are 75, 60, 52.5, 46.75, 42.65, and 39.36 feet, converted from meters. So "28 off" is 46.5 feet line length. The shorter the length the more difficult to make it around the buoys.
28 off is a very difficult length and well beyond my capabilities but my excuse is that I am in the 59 age bracket.
Mandatory Porsche content: My waterski buddy and I met on a PCA drive.
Lexpilot - Thanks for explaining that. I never would have figured that one out!. I did a little skiing in my younger years, so I can relate (somewhat) to the increasing difficulty as the rope shortens. In that context, my "handle" would have to be "gofor28on"
riotgear - Thanks!. I have been looking at your PICS of before & after you lowered your 997. It really looks great. IMO, I think your set-up offers the perfect spacing between the tires and wheel wells. Good symmetry and great aesthetic appeal!
JJS 03S - Thanks. When I was looking for a P-car ('02, '03, or '04) it seemed like 60 - 65% of them were either silver, grey, or black. I wanted blue p=-car, either the Lapis or Midnight Blue. The Cobalt is a little too "electric" for me. The Lapis is somewhere between the two.
Before I got my 996 I had a silver SLK 320 (I picked it up in Stuttgart and drove it for six months while I lived in Rome -- it got rear ended by a Fairfax County police cruiser a couple of weeks after I shipped it back to Virginia
).
Anyway, I used the accident as an excuse to
upgrade
to a Porsche. I thought about getting an Arctic Silver cab but went with Ocean Blue metallic because silver was becoming too common place. As my luck would have it, and I found this out
after
I bought the car, Ocean/Lapis blue is the most popular color for Porsches in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area! My neighbor has a blue 996 coupe and in my office there is a blue C4, Boxster, Boxster S and Cayenne S! C'est la vie.
