Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Searched around the forum & couldn't find anything positive about runflats for our Porsches nor other sportscars. Much of the feedback was ...make sure you run with TPMS ...ride & handling gets worse or just not good. Anybody have a positive experience with runflats on their Porsche? If yes, which brands and sizes?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

kinda what i was suspecting... no positive feedback for runflats on Porsches.

POST 3Original post

I had run-flats on my BMW for exactly 1k miles. Terrible! Loud, uncomfortable + bad handling! Exchanged them with regular tires and carry a repair kit with me. I'll never again get run-flats on the BMW and surely not on the 911!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thx guys! just picked up a replacement tire for the one that went flat. asked the shop what they'd recommend in runflats for our Porsches. they said stay away because of your same reasons and that they don't justify their prices. oh well. thought there would be merits for runflats in a daily driver pcar.
