Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have taken some pics of the SSSK (short, short shift kit ) I used my photo skills 101 as the only lens I had was a 70-200mm 2.8 or a 50mm 2.4. She who must be obeyed gravity checked the other so it's in the shop. I did measure the throws; 2.5 " 1-2 gear. The trimmed shift rod is now a whopping 4.25" measured from the center of the attach bolt to the end of the rod. If someone with greater computer skills than I add a link to the previous SSK post I would be happy to wash your car for you. Now here goes my picture attach and pray thingy.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My wife is in D.C. as we speak. She just left Mortons. She will be happy to do it in absentia. Her # is............Bet you thought I would give you her #? I will wash your car; even if it is a rental ,if you are ever in my neck of the woods. Thanks for the link. Man , your car is so shiny. I looked at the pics recently posted and I new it was your car. Too clean, it doesn't need a wash. I think it would actually make it DIRTY. I better stick to the rental in your case.

POST 4Original post

Thanks Stan. Do you have a picture with the shifter boot installed? Did you have to trim some of the leather now that the shifter is not as tall?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I didn't have to trim the leather at all. I flipped the boot over and peeled back the leather ; measured approx. amount that I cut off the shift rod, dressed it out a bit. Viola' The bottom of the handle is plastic, I used a pneu. angle grinder and cut off wheel. A hacksaw or Dremel would work also. The tip of the stainless lever is cut in a " V " shape, inside the shift knop is the mating shape. I thought about doing the extra work and fit it exactly; but I can barely get the **** off w/o that cut out. I really like the mod,

POST 6Original post

John - You posted the pic all by yourself?!?!! You had better be careful or someone will mistake you for a techno-geek!... NOT!!!!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You laugh , but I sent an email once. Better than thet, I wrote a lettr, addressed an envelop, put on a stamp and put in the mailbox and put the flag up. Baby steps. My wife is the Techy Geek, I got the looks.
