Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Those are totaly functional on the track, but should probably just be used with GT3's.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I thought about doing it but my budget was too limited so I went the cheaper path with an aftermarket GT3 MKI aerokit, still not bad...
I have been kicking around the idea of installing and aerokit on my 04' C2. There are a ton of options, but would like to some straight talk and honest opinions on what you would do. What is a better value for resale?
So the first choice would be the Aerokit RUF kit and second would be the Porsche Aerokit .
See pictures for your reference.
Thanks
I usually like RUF's kits BUT I find that the factory kit has sharper lines that look better on a MkII, the RUF is kind of square.
But I may be biased
Of course when it comes to aesthetics, it's a personal choice, go with you like!!
Actually, This appreas to be the MkII Kit... wow!! Sign me up! Not sure about the duck tail..
Transform your 996 to the widebody RGT look with the following Ruf products:
Ruf Front Bumper Cover
Ruf RS Inspired Fender Fairs with Integrated Side Skirts
Ruf Rear Decklid Inspired by the Famous Ducktail
Ruf Sport Mirrors
Ruf Three Piece Wheels
For best resales value go with the OEM (Porsche) kit.
Do you think I would put a KIA wing on my Honda??? Well, I guess I could because..... who would care? Not me!
Do you have other mod plans down the road? If you are modding the car step by step, RUF body kit is a good option given that you are in Dallas. You can always RUF it completely which will end up being an unique and sick ride...
Well! That's a no brainer if you want to retain your mod investment. I want to vote again..
Thank Godness its not Nov 4th or I would really be in trouble.
RUF Aerokit! I thought about doing it but my budget was too limited so I went the cheaper path with an aftermarket GT3 MKI aerokit, still not bad... From your Avatar, looks like you have the 3rd radiator Mod, did you have Ruf do the install? They will do mine probably next week. Cheers,
I don't think RUF makes stuff for a Honda, but I can check it..... oh, wait.... you weren't referring to me were you??? Never mind!!!
Sorry, I couldn't resist poking fun at myself again! Now I am beginning to understand how Phil feels when I pick on him!
Really? RS wing? Those are totaly functional on the track, but should probably just be used with GT3's. IMO they're too much for our humble C2's on the street.
Ruf. It's a little different than the rest of us which makes it special and it's much more aggressive looking, imho. While I really like the MkII oem kit, when I see it ... I can't help but think GT3 bits on a C2.
Great Pictures - Thanks for sharing. Your C2 looks awesome
Great advice thus far - keep em coming.
I was watching the movie CARS with my son this weekend (2 years old - starting him early on my pcar hobby) and coudn't resist laughing when i compared the 996 female car to ours! The stock front has to go! just waiting for its mouth to move! LOL
Redridge - the Cup Car front end is also an option for me as well - gotta love the radiator vents!
WOW, I never looked at your car before, Its really nice... what tail is that..beautiful and looks like a bolt into the stock lid?
(by the way, is the amber out of those headlights yet?)
OK I want whatever is going on with those headlamps. What do you think that is? just some smoke tint?
Oh and to the OP, it's really not much of a question, pick the one you like better! But if you pick the one I like, then the Mk2 Ruf it is! (and a Ruf kit installed at Ruf in Dallas will NOT make your car any less marketable. Alois Ruf from Pfaffenhausen is pretty much the only name in the aftermarket for Porsche that truly means something positive to aficionados of the marque)
The way I understood the OP originally was asking if he should add an OEM or a RUF body kit to a stock C2. Now it appears that its already RUF'd out on the inside therefore it should continue to be completed by RUF.
I am curious what RUF mods are done to this car.
Details and PICS?
his car is a Carrera... not much can be done by Ruf, except simple bolt on and a flash... the blue mk2 is a gt3 version, Ruf tuned it with an extra 45hp.
