Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

.... looking for a black-on-black picture of MY02 5-spokes. Anyone? I am considering purchasing a set of these that's been painted black. How much does that reduce the value of the wheels?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Actually, post #4 in the following thread has a pic on a black 993: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...t=black+wheels What do you folks think?

POST 3Original post

I have never seen black (02) Carrera II's, probably because they are such a thin design. But the post you mentioned looks pretty good, maybe I'll paint my old set. If rims are in good shape I wouldn't think the paint would decrease value too much although I also think it would not increase it much either. THey look 1000 times better than chromed ones in my opinion. Good luck.

POST 4Original post

Too dark for me. I like the silver contrast on darker cars. That black 993 does look sweet though. Very evil with the black rims.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Something about black on black in this case didn't strike me as "right", so I purchased a set of stock ones. I am really excited about getting rid of my peeling chrome twists!!!!!! Next step will be spacers! 15mm all around? Anyone have some to get rid of?

POST 6Original post

befast, Did you get the 15mm spacers and if so, how do you like them? What suspension set up do you have?

POST 7Original post

Pix weren't taken to showcase the wheels, but hopefully this helps a bit...

POST 9Original post

Ooops, sorry. I just re-read the original request and realized you said "black on black". Oh well, just disregard my posts.

But the last picture is AWESOME!!

POST 12Original post

Not a huge fan of the black wheels unless there is a contrasting stripe (mainly silver) around the edge of the wheel. All black just seems to run together with the tires too much. But that's just my opinion.

The wheels on the car on the right, are now on the car on the left in that picture, let me see if I can find any from the weekend I had those wheels on.

POST 14Original post

It'll be great if you can find a pic. You'd have the combo the OP's trying to find.... black on black!

POST 15Original post

JC, I just noticed the front bumper in your avatar. Is that a 997 bumper?

POST 16Original post

Quotes source post: 5925196

maybe because the car is a 997...

POST 17Original post

that car is not a real car. It is a 3d model that I have been setting up to animate for a new intro to my racing videos, but have not had a chance to animate it yet with all of the other projects going on.

POST 18Original post

I can't upload pictures since I refused to renew my rennlist membership due to lack of customer service, so here is a link to the picture. It's the only one I have from that weekend, since I only used them for a few sessions. http://racing.johnc3d.com/buttonwillow_522.JPG

OK, that explains a few things. I won't bother to ask about the wing and the wheels.
