I mean come on, if the starving college students that can barely afford their $5K used Porsche in some of these forums are contributing then NOBODY in the 996 forum should be complaining about a measly $18.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

Appearantly you have to pay to view OT threads. How stupid!

POST 3Original post

If the 911 is dying, Porsche is dying because I can't imagine Porsche without a 911. I can't see Porsche surviving with just the Boxster and Cayenne.

POST 4Original post

djantlive - "how stupid". Uh, membership has privileges. I think it is nice that people who pay to support the site get some benefits over and beyond those who simply use it. Regards,

POST 6Original post

Why do you suppose some of us pay to be members?

POST 7Original post

I refused to participate in that thread until Adrian posted, and then it was only to let him know what a fantastic job he did. The rest of the thread can be printed out and used to housebreak your puppy.

POST 8Original post

Why not step up and support this site then? I mean come on, if the starving college students that can barely afford their $5K used Porsche in some of these forums are contributing then NOBODY in the 996 forum should be complaining about a measly $18. Surely you have saved at least $18 on your car with advice you have gotten on this board, right?

POST 9Original post

yeah - the membership is the price of a cheapo bottle of wine at a crappy chain restaurant, if you are that tight then you must squek as you walk along......

POST 11Original post

The 911 won't disappear but they just might flip the engine forward...... I almost never use those rear seats anyway. Hatchback would be a definite advantage. T-top wouldn't hurt my feelings at all. Maybe by 2011??

POST 13Original post

Friggen hilarious. I totally agree Riad--I started reading it thinking it would be an interesting thread, but it turned out to be a 928 versus 911 pissing contest. Don't waste your time.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The thread has deteriorated into diarrhea of the finger tips. At least Adrian chimed in with a little accurate history.

POST 17Original post

I would think that annual sales would have some effect on the decision of the future of the 911.

POST 18Original post

I'm afraid I got sucked into wasting some of my time w/that thread.....it makes me want to vote for elimination of FREEDOM OF SPEECH for all. That right should be safeguarded only for humans!!!

POST 20Original post

Yeah, 911s suck. They should be gone in about a year. The two best things that came out of the 70s was disco and the 928.
