Went on a great run Sunday with about 35-40 cars which was organized by guys on the Rennlist 993 forum. Real nice trip which started in Mahwah, NJ and ended at a new, private race track in Monticello, NY . On the way up I was behind a 996 GT2. Man, that thing unbelievably fast!!! It had BBS race wheels and was tuned by Promotive. Later I find out it has a state-of-the-art build with over 800hp. Check the 993 board for a bunch of pictures/details. At the track we had a nice lunch then got to go on a 3 lap parade. The laps were somewhat limited because you really didn't want to pass anybody. There were a mixture of Vetts, BMW and P-Cars. I was behind an E34 M5 which was fast on the straits but slow in the corners. The track has a long back strait where we were able to go full out which was fun. First time on a track for me...I can see how it can get addicting. I wish I could get back there and go full speed all the way. Any body got $125k I can borrow for the club initiation fee? Good stuff Rich... all you need is a helmet and a PCA membership... let the wall street guys have their track. PCA guys have tracks all around the country... Wouldnt mind being a member though...

+1 There are many private clubs, but for 1/1000th the money you get the same thing, just not the champane and caviar (though I keep that in the trunk... pew, stinky, but tastes good)
