Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow, well a dream has finally been realized for me when I bought my 2000 C2 today. Beautiful, clean car. Anyway I have a couple questions that I would like to be answered. 1. When I depress the clutch all the way to the floor it makes a small clicking noise. I thought it might be the sensor so you can start it but I am not sure. Does yours do this? Either way I am taking it to porsche to have it fixed if it's not normal. 2. Is the warranty worth it. My car has 40k on it so far and no warranty. The guy said I could purchase a 5yr/100,000 mile warranty for $3500. Do you think I should get this? Thanks, Mike

POST 2Original post

The clicking noise is a sensor and is normal. Porsches are expensive to repair so an extended warranty is a good idea. Congratulations!

POST 3Original post

Congrats on the puchase. The warranty issue has been discussed here & on Renntech...I have one on my 1999 C2. I would say be very detailed in reviewing what is covered & what isn't. The archives have a couple of company names where users have comments on their experiences. Do a search at the top on warranty.

POST 4Original post

Warranty: Very important...no question. Beat of luck! Rick
