This is not a probability of success.

Performed · outcome unconfirmed

Mine was diagnosed at PPI last year and fixed by seller, so I can't really speak about the prior owner's driving style although the car was extremely low miles so I assume it sat a lot and was used mostly on weekends.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

PLEASE VOTE ONLY IF YOU HAVE RMS LEAK!! This is a poll to see if how you drive affects chances of getting the RMS bug. Pls indicate if you: Drive daily but <5 mi each way Drive daily but >5 mi each way Store over winter (2+ month) each year Drive weekends only Go to take the poll using the button above this note

POST 2Original post

The poll is incomplete. Needs to be: Drive daily <5 miles each way - no RMS leaks Drive daily <5 miles each way - had RMS leak etc...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This poll is for people with RMS issue only.

POST 5Original post

I do think this would be useful data, because we could then compare the relative incidence of RMS leaks for each of the driving patterns.

POST 6Original post

From what I hear it's pretty much a random occurence.

POST 7Original post

I feel so left out...NOT!! Probably shouldn't joke, huh.

POST 8Original post

Mine was diagnosed at PPI last year and fixed by seller, so I can't really speak about the prior owner's driving style although the car was extremely low miles so I assume it sat a lot and was used mostly on weekends. Since then I've put ~5k miles on the car and have not yet had a recurrence. Daily driven in spring/summer/fall >5miles each way
