Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did a search and couldn't find how to remove the A-Piller and front of the headliner from my 996 coupe. I want to run two pair of wires from the dome light area to underneath the dash. Can anyone help?

POST 2Original post

you probably do not need to remove the A pillar to tuck wires in, but here is some info (read past the instructions). https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/334950-a-pillar.html

Do a search for the range mod. I think the antenna is in the A-Pillar. Also, I think there is a DIY to hardwire a V-1 which should give a full writeup on running wires. -td Antenna range mod: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=4958 If you haven't done it, you should while you have the A-pillar disassembled.
