popped in some new superwhite bulbs but they didn't really have much of an impact when used on the DRL's...probably because my headlight housings have already yellowed a bit.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok i know this sounds stupid...but i read the DIY from another thread, and when i turn the nut, i hear a loud crack, it says to apply some more force till the headlight starts to come out and then pull it out....well i can't pull it out and i dont want to apply too much force...how much to I have to heave on this thing to get it out?

POST 2Original post

As soon as you turn the crank and it pops, the headlight assembly should slide slightly forward on its own. Make sure you're turning in the proper direction as indicated in the owner's manual. You will have to apply enough force to disconnect the headlight assembly from the captive electrical connector that is on the chassis side. Depending upon how long those things have been mated, you might have to apply some force to remove the assembly.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

got it...that was easy enough. popped in some new superwhite bulbs but they didn't really have much of an impact when used on the DRL's...probably because my headlight housings have already yellowed a bit.

Hey Omar, Make sure the superwhite bulbs are rated 55 watts. Anything higher and you risk melting the plastic lens in the headlight assembly. Trust me -- I speak from experience. -G
