Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

this car has had rear wiper removed, would this just be a case of getting the little trim panel there filled/sprayed?
Leading evidence: 'Fill /sprayed' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill /sprayed' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys, Aidan from Australia here first post
The father is looking at 996 options....C4S and base C2
Were inspecting an 02 C4S this weekend and I have a few questions.
1. does the C4 feel bulky and 'dull' when compared to a C2? I know certain cars in AWD just lack the nimble/quick feeling of the RWD...
2. this car has had rear wiper removed, would this just be a case of getting the little trim panel there filled/sprayed? we may want to return to stock...
3. rear badge has also been removed, are these massively expensive to buy?
Any other C4S tips appreciated!
1. Not sure, I've only owned the C4 and the C4S
2. It's just a plastic cover, you can put the rear wiper back with no issues
3. Rear badge is really not expensive at all
I recently purchased a C4S MY '02 in May. It is ridiculous. What cars have you had in the past? I think to add the wiper is easy....there is a cap that should be removable to install the wiper.
I don't think the car feels heavy at all....in fact...it's tough to tell it's AWD on dry pavement.
As far as the rear badge....not too expensive at all....and easy to install...they are applied with adhesive. Drive both and see for yourself. If you plan on driving in the winter...both are great with snows...but the C4S will clearly have an advantage.
I am biased, but I do think the C4S is the best looking 996 there is. In fact, it's why I opted for it. The skin is basically the same as the TT....the wide body is just gorgeous.

Driven both. Must say that the C2 felt slightly more nimble than the C4S, but I bought the C4S cause I preferred the wide-body style and larger brakes. Test at Nurburgring between the 2 showed the C4S faster (12/03 Excellence Magazine)
thanks guys
itll be a DD for the father, not a track weapon, so splitting hairs over which is better on track etc isnt too important. that said we will probably do some club days to get a few track laps in!
ill need to check that all wiper hardware is still in place under the cover, i assume he has just put a plug in the hole....all will be revealed this weekend
no doubt it is gorgeous...where i think the 996s lack is the 'pronounced' rear width of the 993...it widens very gradually towards the back
the turbo body C4S addresses this...plus we love the wraparound rear light panel!
