Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I get about two sets of pads to a set of rotors. I'd guess about 20-30K depending on how many DE days I get in. At about 30K they have a huge lip... -td

POST 3Original post

Street only car driven like a little ole lady owned it.....50,000 miles. Probably going to get 60,000 out of the rears. I flog my race cars but not my street car

POST 4Original post

I've had the dealer tell me I needed new rotors after 15k miles. I asked him if I had dollar signs tattoo'd on my head. I ordered my rotors and pads from Suncoast Porsche and had my local guys install them at about 30k. And I drive hard.

POST 5Original post

It is directly dependent on your driving style. If you use your transmission more for braking, pads and disks will last 60,000 - 80,000 miles.

POST 6Original post

I have original rotors on my car, 57,000 miles.... although I'm on my 3rd set of pads - porsche OEM... I just starting tracking the car this year and you go through OEM pads REAL quick....

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, That was a useful exercise......... and also explains why my rotors are "under" spec................... at 105,000 miles. Must be over engineered, 'cause the car stops just fine.
