Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

LOL, yes, that's another reason our cars are so expensive, they have to be re-tooled for the engines to run backwards.

Hey, to turbo twists really run the other direction?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just wanted to say hi and that i have enjoyed reading your post and it has already helped me make up my mind about my next porsche purchase. I have been in the market for a 996, 3.6. Having test driven a few, I came across the 40th Annivesary model. Initially, I thought this was just a cosmetic upgrade, but after some research, and reading a number of your posts, I have come to the conclusion that this is the perfect car for me. I will be taking the car to the track regularly, so the increased power and LSD will come in handy. The only obstacle now is the price. In Aus, these cars are selling for about $120-130k, which equates to about $100k US, so you guys have it lucky over there. These cars still have a 20K premium over the standard carrera in Aus and are selling for similar money to the C4S. Will keep you posted when i find "the one."
There's a little thing in Aus called the luxury car tax, which applies to any car over Aus$55k. which adds around 40% more to the cost of our cars. Unfortunetly it also applies to "grey imports" ie cars purchased overseas, so no real point, plus non complianced cars are harder to sell and the conversion to right hand drive (remember we drive on the other side of the road), it's not worth the effort.
So my night job as a giggilo is paying for it!!
LOL, yes, that's another reason our cars are so expensive, they have to be re-tooled for the engines to run backwards. Plus the bummers need to be reinforced due to all the kangaroos jumping around!! Never had Merlo coffee before, i live in Melbourne so tend to stick to non-franchised/copporate shop's, we have lots of funky little cafe's that serve great coffee. I'm a short machitto fan myself.
Early this month, one of the ladies (Shiela's?) in my office went home to Melbourne to visit with her parents for a couple weeks. She asked if there was anything I wanted her to bring back. I said it would be fun to get a license plate surround from the Porsche Centre Melbourne to put on my car. I would then mount it upside down around the plate.
Well, duh, I forgot until after she left that the plates in Aus are Euro style long and skinny compared to US plates. But I figured it would be a fun thing.
So she returns, but not with a plate surround. The folks in the parts department explained the surround wouldn't work as desired and then gave her a Christophorus (Austrailia Edition) and their 'Winter" (June, July, August)dealership magazine. I think those are even better than the license plate surround!!!!!!!! LOL
Yep -- our number plates are smaller -- like the UK plates but 2/3rds og the length.
If you buy a pre 89 car overseas it is a lot easier to get in and registered but for anything post 89 it is not worth it.
The prices are high but they seen to stay hig and hold value pretty well so in the end its a good deal -- just a big lot of cash to start with.
welcome aboard -
I have this "friend" than can get the super rare 1989 Porsche 40th edition so the taxes are not so high
j/k - man thats like stupid high and counter enviormental "green" - the new cars should have NO tax and the old ones should have $100K tax - DUH -
