I coughed up $1770 for the job which does not include the hood I provided and the emblem - they fixed the front, pulled it back into shape, repaired both fenders, filled all the rock chips in the bumper and installed the new hood - all painted up, blended and looking sharp - the panel line up is as good as its going to get....

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

now I am not a camera guy... in fact I really suck at it...but I had to get some shots of the car today since it just came out of the shop for a nose re-paint I coughed up $1770 for the job which does not include the hood I provided and the emblem - they fixed the front, pulled it back into shape, repaired both fenders, filled all the rock chips in the bumper and installed the new hood - all painted up, blended and looking sharp - the panel line up is as good as its going to get.... the car had been really out of whack, so its really really close to perfect now - all in all, I am very happy - Insurance covered what was caused by the parking lot mishap and together we spent $5200 on her........if you think that little bump <5 mph is no big deal...... think again ! pics are as good as I shoot... enjoy and post comments/feedback PS Eric @ bumperplugs shipped my plugs this morning (bumper and door)

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No on bumperetts. Cant justify the cost of changing from black to.... black IMO they are fine, if I had a yellow or red... maybe - sleep well.... funny you should say that because when i woke up I said to myself, man I slept well, then I thought I wonder if having my car home made me relax ? Then I read your post - hmmm, never know Thanks guys for the compliments and looking

POST 11Original post

POST 15Original post

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 17Original post

Looks great Ed. Now , go get some clear bra applied and keep it purty!

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

+1 for that, need to wait 30 days... till then I am scared to drive it - but will anyone know "about" what clear bra's cost?

POST 19Original post

Depends on what you want and who you go to of course. I'd budget ~$400 installed for the standard bits

POST 21Original post

WOW! Looks really good Ed! Well worth the extra money.

POST 22Original post

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So in the sunlight today - overspray on my mirror, a buffer burn on the edge of the hood, and swirls damn near everywhere. Called, they said, "bring it back" so I did. He said, "the paint is soft, wait 3 weeks and bring it back, we will fix it all up" Free of course, sounded reasonable to me - agree?

POST 26Original post

That looks really (really - really!) terrific - burt I really miss the 'good' pix

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

here is a pic for you "low milers" to shoot for - this is yesterday heading home... looked and said - quick, take a pic...... lol

Hey, that's what I call mine... "My Shiney"... as opposed to calling it the "pcar" which a non-porsche owner wouldn't get... Or "Porsche/Porschuh"... which comes off a little like name-dropping in my humble circle... "My Shiney" describes it best... Rudy

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK - well you are a big enough guy to pull that off..... I, (mr scrawny) would get a completely differant response from a statement like that

POST 31Original post

POST 34Original post

Im glad u got her back Ed.... she looks great! As for the Aerokit nose with stock radiator scoop.... if you stick your finger inside the edges of the scoop, you will notice that it doesnt mate with the insides of the bumper cover. You will loose some pressure that pushes the air through the rads. I modified mine to seal with the bumper. Will post some pics later... Im on a holiday with the fam.

POST 35 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

you are ALWAYS on holiday Thanks Fred, Love to see the mod - its been three days... I am looking forward to taking some parts off bumperplugs are here, I might wait for a couple weeks so the paint if fully cured - then again.. I might put them on now

POST 36Original post

Looks nice! I wish mine was chip and dentless.... IMHO they have to be either pristine, or rock chipped to hell. I'm still working on rock chipped to hell.

POST 37Original post

Looks good Ed! Over here, a complete clear bra set costs about $400-500.
