I have used a Porter Cable polisher for years and it has served me well, I have used it to apply the wax and then use a micro cloth to remove excess wax, the beauity of this polisher is that it will not burn thru and yet do a professional job.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I remember seeing before and after shots on several non-Porsches, but can't remember where I saw them! It was using the Porter Cable, and various polishes, with dramatic results. Anyone?

POST 3Original post

Autopia is a pretty source to find said photos. I could send you some too if you want...shoot me a PM if you need any.

POST 4Original post

Andy, here are some before and after pictures of my current project. The Porter Cable polisher is amazing. It brought 50 year old, seriously neglected, paint back to almost new condition.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow, Mark, I rememeber when you first posted the pics of your project. You've come a long way! And that paint does look new. Thanks in part to the thick layer of non-clear-coated old paint I'm sure!
