Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey y'all, As someone who's drank the IPD plenum Koolaid and still undecided about an intake, Suncoast Header, and chipping I thought it might be nice to put my otherwise stock car on the dyno and then repeat it following reinstallation of the stock plenum to quantify any power change. This started me thinking that it might be of value to have some complimentary data points from local people who have other mods in terms of quantifying the production obtained from various "packages". I have been following the 997 plenum discussion on 6 speed pretty closely and have had a very hard time resolving the A.W.E (no gain, slight torque loss) with the IPD results (great torque gain across the board). It's clearly not an absolute science but I'd feel better if I could see what it did in my actual car. Anyone have any local experience or interest in doing a local dyno day? The other thing we could do is a real world driving evaluation of the various cars to correlate the results with the official butt dyno...? Thanks, Tonger

scratch them; i've asked around to people that used them. they say it's overpriced, overbooked, unprofessional and hectic. knowledge performance supposedly has an AWD dyno; they come recommended from a few people.
