Ideally it would be great to get the latest road updates as when I go to Boston the nav map data from 2004 is almost useless up there with the changes made to the highways in the city.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 04 x50 Turbo cab that I bought from sunny CA arrived with a west coast nav disc. Outside of buying the $200 three disc set online (2004.1) from Navteq, any ideas? Also since my 25K mile cab didn't have service records but was a one-owner car, I tracked down the dealership where all the service was performed. Found out that they guy just had the rear main seal replaced (and clutch while the engine was pulled). I guess I am glad it was already done, but surprised at the large repair needed. John in CT

POST 2Original post

To summarize previous threads on this topic, there is nothing else you can do, unless you get them from ebay. They pulled the engine for an RMS?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking on eBay ... anyone know if one of the newer 2007 or 2008 nav CDs work in an 04 car? Ideally it would be great to get the latest road updates as when I go to Boston the nav map data from 2004 is almost useless up there with the changes made to the highways in the city. Thanks!!

POST 5Original post

Call the dealer you purchased the vehicle from and ask them to send you the discs for free. Mine did (Napleton Porsche) when I bought an East Coast car in the West Coast.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
