Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do any of you know wheather the resonance valve is closed at idle? This is the valve the is in the middle of the intake crossover tube that is on the top of the engine closest to the back seat. I was under the impression that it should be closed from idle up to about 5,000 rpms. Mine is not closing until about 1200 rpms. You can see if the valve is opened or closed by using a flashlight and looking at the valve with a flashlight when the engine is running. The pivot point you can see in the center of the tube is rectangular in shape and will inticate closed when the long side is up and down. With the engine off, the valve will be open. Thanks to anyone who has time to look.
