Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

1) Had the centers of my Work Brombachers brushed (w/ clearcoat on top), thanks to Eli @ Fast Forward Wheels . Com 2) Turbo Lip I hope to take some more pics when the car is cleaner.

POST 2Original post

i like the rolling shot. shows how cool the Y spokes look when spinnin. the brushed finish is a nice touch. i don't like the porsche wheel caps - just too many logos. you should paint all the underbody black trimming to give the car a lower stance that's also budget friendly. i like the c4s lip better than the turbo lip. bottom line, your car is a looker and you represent the c4s brethren well.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, the chrome porsche caps are temporary. I couldn't wait to put the wheels on! I'm having the Work centercaps painted bright silver to match the brushed (they can't brush plastic). BUT I'm having the "Work" logo painted in black on the cap itself. It should be in in a couple of days.

POST 4Original post

arnee, atta boy. i knew you wouldn't disappoint. most more pics when ya can, but i think the centercaps in all silver is going to look best. i don't know, i'll have to see it.

POST 5Original post

Looks nice! Like Ben suggested, I'd paint that lip though. Ahh, can't wait to get the suspension on my C4S!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source posts: 5223746, 5223753

sigh.. another vote for painting the lower pieces??!! I barely had time to drop off these wheels to the shop... much less the car to the bodyshop. I'll have to look around for cars with painted lower pieces and see if I REALLY like them.

POST 9Original post

it's simple visual play... the lower the body goes when the black parts are painted. in black, you miss the details and it's ghetto matte black plastic , not attractive. red color pops. pop that collar. do it u won't regret it (PEER PRESSURE!)

POST 10Original post

Hey Arnee, looking good!!!!! I 've been looking at the website for the wheel company. I'm gona call them about painting my Turbo twists black. Probably a Matt Black? What do you think? Hey PM me about this week. Later Karl.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5223826

Karl, I'll give you a call maybe tomorrow... we can get together for coffee or whatever.

POST 12Original post

Beautiful car. Just makes we want to leave today to get mine (only 3 more days until I get it!!)

POST 13Original post

That does it - mine's coming out of storage this week. I can't take it anymore.

POST 14Original post

Looks nice, nice wheels! Agree with the paint recommendations.

doooooo eeeeeeet

POST 16Original post

Personally the lowers really do wonders fro the car. I loved it when I did mine. Makes it look more put together IMHO

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've seen your pics on Misha's site, Tim. Maybe I'll do it all when I get the Techart Type II rear spoiler. someday!

POST 18Original post

I did it in stages. I just cant fine my others BEFORE these. I will look when I get home. It was actually inexpensive to have them painted.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, I hear isn't expensive. Though my problem is time. Time finding a bodyshop, drop off, pickup, etc.

POST 20Original post

Quotes source post: 5224963

does it come with a vest? anyways...i took my car to elmontebodyshop.com (autowerks) - but if you want there is a really good body shop ive taken my previous car to in riverside called a-1 auto body and paint...heck i could drop you off one day and take you back just for the sake of sexiness btw...even better then i imagined it bro! enjoy your c4s brotha -ace

POST 21Original post

Quotes source post: 5224869

your ex-car needs the full kit cuz the front techart bumper is so low and aggressive. it's too "top" heavy if you know what i mean. sideskirts, rear skirt, perfect. awesome ride. else... looks like a stingray or whatever those lovely sea creatures are.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5225012

LMAO @ the vest! Thanks for the info. I'm still drooling on the Techart Type II Wing. Maybe I could do it all at once. We'll see. Thanks, Ace... talk to you later......see you on the road!

POST 23Original post

Arnie - the car looks incredible! Love the red, but I am slightly biased...

POST 24Original post

Looks great! Mine came out of hibernation today - now I just have to get some nice weather to get it detailed and shiny again.

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5225940

Yes! Time for some good driving. gotta love spring/summer!

POST 26Original post

Arnie, your car looks fantastic. Those wheels are gorgeous. Those center caps don't look bad, but the matching Works caps will look great. I just went through the same decision process with my wheels...OEM Porsche center caps with the logo or Kinesis centers. The Kinesis centers won out. I'm going to try and paint the logo body color. If it looks tacky, it's easy to fix.

POST 27Original post

Quotes source post: 5225302

The Techart Type II is so sick...it just doesn't seem right to spend $3k+ on a wing. The blue wheelexpert one makes me feel all funny inside, you should do it...would be ridiculous:

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep, I know Peter @ Wheel Experts... their blue C4S just makes me drool. I was just looking at those photos again today.

POST 29Original post

Quotes source post: 5226514

that car is the best looking 911 i've ever seen in my life. man, if i saw that car rollin live on the seattle streets, i'd fuqin stalk it for a few miles. imagine that rear end view with the unique 996 c4s reflector strip all the way.... drop it like it's hot even though i don't like blue cars. it's just THAT good. i'd love to do that to my car, but check the price.... just got a quote for the techart side and rear skirts that's on that car..... $4250 installed. just imagine the front and rear bumper which are the most expensive parts..... cha ching YEA BABY! we're talking a new hyundai with 100K mile warranty price right there.
