Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Suggestion

I would clear the code and if it comes back then you need to replace the O2 sensor.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got a code P2096 this morning - "Signal Delay Time for Oxygen Sensor Ageing - Above Limit". Is this just a bad O2 sensor? Anyone know what this is going to cost me?

POST 2Original post

sorry i can't help u but that readout can say a lot of things. it's like getting caught with your pants down. like i had this front/rear lid open message. crazy computers!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep, the description sounded a little ambiguous to me also. Hopefully someone on the board has had this code before. For what it's worth, the car is running fine.

POST 4Original post

it's like you're going about your merry way and when that thing pops up a message ALL your attn is focused on it lickety split no matter where you are. LOLLOLOLOL i'd def get it checked out. little **** adds up quick. i'm sure you'll get help here.

POST 5Original post

This is an O2 sensor aging fault code. Not uncommon on cars with 60,000 miles or more. I would clear the code and if it comes back then you need to replace the O2 sensor.

POST 6Original post

I just got it two days ago and the fix was new cats under warranty. Your emissions warranty will cover that 8/80k
