This is a strange one. I turn off the motor and the spedo and odometer lights stay on. I set the alarm and they go off. Start back up, turn off and lights stay on again. Need to use remote again ? This is a 99 996..41K and so far running strong any ideas ? Perry

Sounds normal if they shut off after a few seconds. There is a delay built in.

I know the clock display is deactivated approximately 4 minutes after the ignition is switched off, perhaps the speedo and odo displays are the same.
