i want to experience this, but then i'm not exactly bored either with the more ephemeral/lust-filled type connections.

I will say it is hard to run into and many never do.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I've been with this gal since my b-day party in LA back in late Fall. Met her there in fact... of all places in a damn club (Les Duex in West Hollywood).
Here's a pic from the nite we met (she's to my right, my future sister-in-law the other):
She's from FL, but we've been doing a bit of the long distance thing, I guess as long as it can get in the continential US and A. I've never met someone so chill and crazy and real at the same time. She really can break it down for me. Knows when to encourage me and knows when to say hey Ben you're being absurd.
I know a lot of you guys here are married, some lucky enough to be fathers. Just wanted to let ya'll know I might have to go through the Porsche parts approval process through Mrs. Choi in about 1 year from now or maybe sooner. LOL
Just wanted to share with my Rennlist brethren. I can't believe it, but I'm off the market (happily).
Best,
Ben
Shocking news! Congrats - despite what you often hear, marriage can be a great thing. Been happily married myself for ten years. Best of luck to you and the future Mrs. Choi.
You actually got me, was about to throw out some of my sensitive ****
You did not try to pull off this crap on your parents, right?
If so I hope they box you in.
Play on player
i guess i may use this thread as a way to get your respective stories about how and when you knew she was THE ONE.
I've only been in one serious relationship (~2yrs) and i really struggled with having to sacrifice/make compromises with my time though she was a quality/beautiful/nuturing gal.
for whatever it's worth i still believe in true Love, but haven't ever experienced it in the way that some people speak so passionately about. i want to experience this, but then i'm not exactly bored either with the more ephemeral/lust-filled type connections.
P.S. just for you, Bill
Now I get the LA Connection, Ben. Mazel Tov!
In London this week. Funny story. Hanging with a well known chef over here who has an appointment at Buckingham Palace coming up. Wants to go to Saville Row to get something made. Says to me, "Don't want to show up to see the queen in some dodgy Ozwald Boateng suit!" I laughed and thought of you!
Man, this weak dollar thing blows...
Congrats Ben.....on not being engaged. You have no idea how lucky you are.....
All kidding aside...I'm married almost 10 years with 3 boys....been pretty good thus far. No major itches or craves.
J
Ben,
If you are able to wait, then wait and get everything out of your system. I am getting close to throw in my towel and have no regrets. She is a cutie.
Hey Chao, hope your trip has been good so far.
W/Ben I'd guess he has gotten enough out of his system to cover it all and then some and some more and than again for good measures.
Too bad one can't find "Her" when they are ready
At least it's fun to look, for a while anyways...
Soooo...you're getting close eh?
Hi Ludwig,
I arrived yesterday at 8AM back into NYC from a 19 hr flight from South Africa.
I was able to get a little bit of R&R on Sat and Sun down there. I stayed in the heart of the wine country in Cape Town and did a little bit of sight seeing. Its a beautiful country down there. I will post pics if people are interested.
Don't want to hijack the thread but you kinda know when its time. I will be 34 in Oct so I am not getting any younger.
Sitting in a cafe right now doing some admin work (pipeline mgmt Zzzz) and your note def put a huge smile on my face!!!! safe travels and talk to you soon. great story.
you sure about that? but then i'm not gonna go post a pic of myself half naked online with my 5% body fat chiseled bod.... esp to cowardly fools who hide behind their keyboard poppin their mouth off.
hello boys and girls, the word for the day is "hater".
omnipresent is a hater. how?
-he sees pics of someone that he hardly knows or has engaged with much in the past and vice versa
-he doesn't like what he sees because the guy has what he clearly wants
-he then gets all homoerotic and references another dude's package size when: 1) he has never seen it; 2) likely knows no one who has seen it; 3) shouldn't ever see it; and 4) he drives a porsche (we think, but again, we hardly know the guy since he hides behind a keyboard and on top of that sans membership status cuz he may well also be a "cheapbastard" which may be a word of the day in the future.
have a nice day

Oh Ben..you're just borderline paranoind schizo IMO. It started off as a joke (your April Fools joke). You're well known to let any and all comments on anything/anyone on this forum fly without regard to the one posting. On the other hand, when anyone "challenges" you or
gasp
makes a joke about something that rubs you wrong - you're uber defensive. As for your definitions of "hater" - I meet none of your criteria listed - put some effort in your next "come back".
Your whole diatribe regarding my supposed homoerotic fascination with you is just comical and doesn't deserve response.
The non member status bother you? Oh well, if you think that in itself makes me cheap - I can and will live with that and ...my financials are none of your business, but, a bastard I'm not, and cheap? LOL - I'd venture to bet I made more charitable contributions
last year
than you have your whole working career!
and so is any business relating to my package or any other dude's on this forum... and hopefully in your real life too (you look like a total dweeb here dude now pay your $15 and focus on package porsche )
Ben looks more fit than I am...that much I'll give him. You shouldn't let the bad jokes get to you man.
Back to the girls maybe. Since we're talking about posting of semi nude pics and all....
bro, the response i'm giving is me typing stuff out on a keyboard. i'm as chill as it comes. just calling it out more for entertainment purposes than anything else. with that said, if Ray S or BruceP or BucketHatLoren or ls911 or my boy JBiggie etc calls me out and makes fun of me, it's like my brothers making fun of me. but if it's some dude keyboard jockeying blurting out absolute nonsense who has no financial ($15) or time invested in my Rennlist friendship with them, then relativelyspeaking, that tweaks me cuz there's nothing at stake for them. i have no idea what they look like, what they do, but i voluntarily put my face and a small sliver of my life here and no where else.... yet as an example this dude randomly drops in and makes a comment about my package of all things? that's straight up WEIRD.
hope to bring some treats for u guys when the weather gets warmer here in the PNW.
Ben you take yourself too seriously - get over it and realize I made a joke
about your joke
, yet with that you've conceived ridiculous posts about me being cheap, homoerotic, etc.. You yourself said it's for entertainment purposes, claim to be so laid back, yet in the same post say things
tweak
you? What's even more polarizing is when I've joked with you on 6speed, you exhibit none of this. Oh well
Congratulations! I've been married 21yrs with two wonderful kids .... and its always interesting. I 've always been in tech sales... commission only and I know the stress and joy involved. I am glad that you found someone to share the good days and the bad days. Congratulations and Good Luck!
You girls sound like a couple of queer designers fighting over a lampshade.....no offensive to you queer designers of course. You two should meet after school at the stack and go at it.
I know OMNI, he's a cool dude as well as Ben. Below is what happens when you make a ***** mad!
That's pretty good LowStro..lollol
I agree, just a joke gone a little bad but no harm was intended IMO.
I know BenCunit is a little on the raw side, I actually appreciate that part of him...a good man he is, that's a fact.
It's not like we are dealing with JJ here
ooops, slipped out, sorry buddy
I don't believe in "the one" - I think: at some point, a man becomes ready to settle down and get married (or more accurately, not so freakin' scared of the prospect). The one he's with when that happens is the one he marries. End of story. Sorry to take the romance out of it!
That is exactly why there are so many unhappy couples and the divorce rates are what they are.
Except, that is, for those that find the ONE...not many.
If there was no such thing everybody would be miserable...as many are now. I will say it is hard to run into and many never do.
I know many couples that just tolerate and deal with it, not bad enough to divorce but nothing special either.
The "one" is Kind of like finding a TRUE friend, good luck on this one as well....
So if you don't believe it's because you haven't found her.
Ben, Your true frau lieben is still available. She will never disappoint you either. There are thousands of potential glory holes. Bill Gates has made sure of that.
Hey, what up? That girl to your right is cute. Did you move to L.A. yet? You must be really good at time management. How do you find the time to party with all these different girls and manage to hit up out-of-town bars & clubs every weekends? Then, I also see you posting in here almost every day. How do you do it? I think you're one of the younger guys in the 996 forum in 30's and unmarried. You're not one of those spolied trust fund kid that have all the time in the world and money to burn, are you?
Cheers
If ever I need an atty. while visiting Canada - I'm contacting YOU! Obviously you've been able to keep your toys after two divorces...without knowing specifics - that's significant. Having said that, hope 3's the charm for you
I'll be in PNW this summer visiting a cousin on Whidbey Island - what'dya say Ben, we could even compare... (uhhh checkbooks that is). (that's a joke too). Aside from Ben thinking the GTR is good looking, he seems to have good taste -If you close the deal with the lady in the pic - hats off to you my man.
BTW LowStro9 - thanks for the realtor contact. Didn't see you at the show Sat. at Rembrandt. Did you make it?
Thanks. To be honest, there was never any legal crap. With my first, who is the mother of my kids (now grown), I did everything I could for her and them, whatever it took. With the second, it was to the letter of the law... she was a piece of work. She got her half without a fight. When the rats came sniffing around for more, yes, I got hard-*** about it, but I accepted my obligations up to that point like a big boy. My wife now (together more than 8 years) is the one I should have waited for. She's an angel, and she wouldn't care if we lived in a trailer.
what a crazy thread lol
in this spirit a rare glimpse into bens life outside the racelist

Hey, back in the USSA. Let me know if it is true...we did go to Saville Row and I went to the Boateng store (he's moved to a slightly more choice location right on the corner of Saville Row proper) and saw the perfect engagement gift for you...
Btw, the stuff in the window right now is actually gorgeous.
Btw, we ended up shopping at Alexander Boyd's on Artillery Row instead. Really wonderful stuff. Great shirts too. More Gieves and Hawkes style. Nothing off the rack or MTM at all. 100% bespoke. (I still prefer my Zegna's
)
ooops...Are you one of those hard-chargin', 911-drivin', Syms suit wearin' macho chiropractors that populate this forum? If so...many apologies.
Stevie, meine liepschien...Don't hate...celebrate!
