My situation is Mark checked fitment and mounted the fronts with no spacers.
Leading evidence: 'Check fitment and mounted the fronts' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'good idea' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fitment and mounted the fronts' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Yours are much further out in back than stock and much closer up front, and while potentially within tolerances, I think you're right, it's probably a good idea to do as you plan and try spacers on the front so that they are at least somewhat closer by comparison to how far out the rears are.

Replacing the brand new Pirelli's with a different tire size is not an option so it is either a spacer in back or rolled fenders.

I wouldn't run the car at all if it's rubbing inside, that's me (sidewall will develop major issues fast if in frequent contact with metal, and control arm won't like it either)

Dave at Wheel Enhancement told me it was because I should have used 315/25/19 but I think Robert and a few of you are using 295/30/19 as well.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello all,
OK, so I purchased a set of 19" 997 OEM Carrera Classics with Pirellis and had Eurotech Bodywerks paint them with factory 997 GT3 RS black paint. Ben, you were right, Mark and the staff there are awesome. The wheels look breathtaking and they are really pleasent to work with.
So I did my homework and read all of the forums on the correct tire sizes and wheel offsets etc. I have the same set up that galeriehughie (Robert) put on his 996.
They are 19x8 et57 & 19x11 et67
235/35/19 & 295/30/19
Most of you suggested putting 14mm H&R spacers up front and none in the rear. My situation is Mark checked fitment and mounted the fronts with no spacers. There is no rubbing either inward or outward. I believe based on wheel offset calculations, they are in 1/2". On the rear is where I am having the issue. I thought that they would fit no problem but they are rubbing on a suspension piece. Dave at Wheel Enhancement told me it was because I should have used 315/25/19 but I think Robert and a few of you are using 295/30/19 as well. Mark is going to see if using Porsche's OEM 5mm spacers will solve my problem. Based on Wheel offset specs, this will put the wheel so that it sticks in 3/8" farther than stock and 5/8" farther out than stock. Maybe I need to use 7mm? I have two questions.
1) Have any of you ever had this same issue?
2) Do you suggest we use 5mm or 7mm?
Replacing the brand new Pirelli's with a different tire size is not an option so it is either a spacer in back or rolled fenders. Please advise what you all think.
Thank you,

I'm not a real fitment expert, but I've spent a little time playing with the wheels in the last three months.
Ignore me if I'm wrong in this assumption, but I take it you're rubbing on the inside right?
The 295 vs. 315s probably aren't the issue, the 30 vs 25 might marginally contribute but it's easier and cheaper to try a spacer than swap rubber. I wouldn't run the car at all if it's rubbing inside, that's me (sidewall will develop major issues fast if in frequent contact with metal, and control arm won't like it either)
Most wheel shops should let you try 5 or 7mm spacers out, most have them laying around (that thin you generally won't find hubcentric, but they can probably just loan you an old set of standard spacers to try).
I think you'll be fine even at 7mm back there, it's only a hair over a quarter inch.
just as i had pointed u to a great paint shop (the very fact that they're dealing with you along all this spacers pain in the **** is a testament to them going the extra mile),
had you asked me about wheel fitment i would've told you spacers suck and get wheels that FIT perfectly so you avoid tehse headaches. oem 997 wheels look sorry, there are aftermarket options that fit way better, look way better and bottom line let you sleep way better at nite
sure it costs more, but you can get most of it back when you sell them cuz everyone eles wants them. sorry u're going thru this, but you should've asked.
good luck, guys like ht can help ya. i'm not too familiar cuz i always get wheels that fit well period.
Ben - I wanted OEM wheels on my car and for me there is no better looking wheel than the Carrera Classic. The way they curve inwards is perfect.
redridge - you're not following? my ties are rubbing on the inside in the rear.
ht - I just hope putting a 5mm or 7mm spacer will work.
Issue resolved!
The guys at Cantrell supplied OEM 5mm spacers for the rear and now I have a perfect fitment. We're going to experiment on the fronts to push them out so they are equal with the rears.
Case closed.
While I initially did a ton of research while buying and had mine running direct fit (no spacers up front or in back) and nothing rubbed at full lock under compression, I decided when I went by the shop to try a spacer in the front because so many people I'd spoken to loved the way the ride and handling improved at serious speed when pushed out a little. I can attest, an extra 13mm hubcentric up front (for me) was nice and they are still on the car, but unnecessary for fitment.
Yours are much further out in back than stock and much closer up front, and while potentially within tolerances, I think you're right, it's probably a good idea to do as you plan and try spacers on the front so that they are at least somewhat closer by comparison to how far out the rears are. Just be sure to road test before doing this so you have a good idea of the "before", and be careful!
So long as the fronts really do fit without spacers right now you can always take them off when selling. The spacers out back I don't think will pose a long term problem, just make sure the outer lip of your rear tire is really inside that rear fender plumb line once the suspension settles back down after fitting. You don't want the fender coming down on the tire in a dynamic shift.
