Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

That's a great link and is what I use when verifying wheels.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, every reference I could find shows 996.362.142.03 for the rears. But I seen a rear with 996.363.142.03 as the part number. Anyone know what the difference might be?? Thanks

POST 2Original post

http://www.944racing.de/felgengewichte.html List above has a bunch of the part numbers, though 996.363.142.03 is not one of them.

That's a great link and is what I use when verifying wheels. That's why I'm scratching my head on the UNK part number. Anders had an idea over on the 996 Turbo forum. He thinks there was a TSB stating that some wheels got the wrong number stamped but they are the same wheel. Anyone else know about this?

POST 4Original post

Sounds like a plausible cause. I am sure that BBS or Porsche should have an answer. If the back of the wheel spokes are smooth and don't have ridges I would weight it and if it matches the weight of hollow spoke p/n. I would then say it a real hollow spoke wheel.

POST 5Original post

Maybe it's like those items sold in NY sidewalks. Folex watches, Gucki bags, Ferragambo shoes, 996.363.142.03 wheels.............
