This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 2001 911 turbo with 27k miles (all mine, many hard). It now needs a new tie rod end on the right. So the questions are: 1) is this "normal"? (I have only replaced tie rod ends on the front of previous cars due to crash damage) 2) Does this indicate that I should replace both sides? Both inner and outer? More things like ball joints and wheel bearings? All assuming I want to drive another year with no issues from this area.

POST 2Original post

I don't think this is normal. I would try for warrenty replacement. I have never heard of a tie rod end wearing out in that short of miles. Did you ever ram into anything?
