Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can I use this Red Line product to change transmission oil? Red Line told me this is what I need. What do you think? Can they do harm to tranny?

POST 2Original post

since it shares the fluid with the limit slip you must make sure it can do double duty this is the main problem.

POST 4Original post

For MY99 996's - LSD was an option. Also, all GT3's have LSD as standard.

POST 5Original post

my reply was directed at SPR's reply, which was directed at OPASS's question, which is about a BoxsterS hope that clears things up now we can both be right

POST 6Original post

oh I didn't see it was a boxter I have lsd in my 99-

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry not being clear of my question. I am talking about my 986S. Will post for follow up.

POST 8Original post

I as well as others did some research a while back you might check the archives. I believe there was an interesting mix of fuids they came up with at redline that would "work" however it seemed a little too uncertain for me. However since you don't have a lsd you should be able to use the regular replacement as far as I know, other than the possible issue with the type 4/5 with aluminium or whatever that issue was. Again I would do the search
