Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got the wife on board to get a C4 come late April. Was wondering if that would be good timing or not. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

i would think that anytime is a good time to get a 996....just find the right one that suits you the best. Good luck!

POST 3Original post

cabs generally are more expensive in the spring, and cheaper in the winter, coupes have a similar effect, however, much less pronounced. don't wait, the C4 is very drivable all year round, who cares if you spend a grand or two more buying it now, the enjoyment factor is well worth it, if you do buy it now and not wait until the spring, i gaurantee you will thank me!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Getting the car will be a reward for jumping on the elliptical before work. She's been having a hard time motivating me, lol. Must say, it has worked.... Will use this time to learn more about these great cars! Are there any other forums to lurk around in? Thanks!

POST 5Original post

Of cousre there are others, but you have found the best!

I'll be looking for a used C4. Thinking it would be a lot better than a C2 as Michigan driving involves lots of snow. Is that right? Was considering a 997 but the depreciation would be like 10K a year. Would consider a C4S or TT if the cost of ownership (over the next 3-5 years) wouldn't be much more than a C4 but am not sure if that's the case.

POST 9Original post

The opinion of most people who equip their car w/good M+S tires for winter driving is that the C4 works very well. Personally, I put my car up when the "white stuff" arrives. IMO the AWD adds a fair amount of stability/confidence when the road conditions are not ideal. The local PCA had its fall color drive last weekend in the rain. The C4 had no problem w/traction under acceleration and cornering. Did I read your post correctly....you reside in MI?

POST 10Original post

I just purchased four snows on separate wheels for the winter. I can't wait to see how it goes. I have heard as long as clearance isn't an issue, they go good in the snow. It helps to have experience driving in the snow to begin with. BTW, This was sent to me by this dealer in philly, after i bought my 02 last week...he has some good cars. He had an 01 C4 also, with approximately 10K miles, blk/blk, well optioned for 52K I decided to go with the 02 C2 for the same money. However, the 01 C4 will hold its value better than my 02 C2 over the long run. Also check out www.huntingridgemotors.com jeff Hello, Would you know anyone who might have interest in a 2001 Silver/Black C2 Coupe with 12K. The car has an extended 2 year Porsche Approved Warranty. The car is ABSOLUTELY out of the Wrapper Perfect. I have a gentelman who wants to trade me the car. I would need $47,500 for it. Let me know. Interesting stuff. Yep, I'm here in Michigan outside of Lansing. Maybe I should just get a C2 if the C4 doesn't help all that much in snow.
