Suggestion
I was going to use Rennsport but after talking to them on the phone a couple of times, they admitted (at least the person who answered the phone) that they had not even seen a 996 with an RMS leak yet.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Long shot, but I am working toward the potential purchase of a black/black c4s at Jackie Cooper Imports in Tulsa. Anyone seen or know anything about the car? Anyone who might review it pretty quick as they want to consumate a deal before theend of the month. I can not get there for obligations at work and Rotary. I am thining to hav it delivered here to Dallas area and will not see it first.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bill
run a car fax, and have the dealer throw in an extended warranty for after you negotiate your best price.
have a guy from a local body shop look at it, they know how to spot repairs,
if you DO end up inspecting it yourself, some tell tale signs of bodywork are overspray in areas that should be black, uneven shutlines, panels that vary in thickness across the surface...
Bill,
Moved to Tulsa from Dallas but bought my 1st 911 (87 Cab) from Jackie Cooper a few years ago. I'd recommend Rennsport for the PPI...very meticulous owner who's highly respected among the Porschephiles here. I could drop by in the next day or so if you need me to. Just PM me (can we do that here?) or email me at

Bill,
I just bought a 2000 C2 about a month ago and I had it inspected at Tom Charlesworth Porsche in Tulsa. I was going to use Rennsport but after talking to them on the phone a couple of times, they admitted (at least the person who answered the phone) that they had not even seen a 996 with an RMS leak yet. So... I went for the independent that seemed a little more knowledgeable of the newer Porsches. I'm sure they are both good, whichever you choose.
Good luck!
Checked dealer and Porsche, no service or maintenance issues. Manager says he'll ship it to me with papers and if it is not right, take it back. Guess if the numbers and the final description work out, I'll go for it. My 01 is in such good condition and has same miles, it is hard to see money differnce from a C2 to this C4, but I gotta have a C4!
